On the night before the first task, the champions are to stay in a separate tent away from the other delegates.

As the night sky blanketed the Hogwarts grounds, Viktor Krum sought solace atop the crow's nest, his thoughts in turmoil. Despite the excitement that coursed through his veins, he couldn't ignore the gnawing fear that lurked within him. He gazed up at the stars, the twinkling lights offering a momentary respite from the adoring fans who relentlessly trailed him, as well as the pressure exerted by his domineering Headmaster, Karkaroff.

Perched high above, the wind tugged at his hair and clothes, and the creaking of the wooden planks beneath his feet provided a soothing rhythm. It was as if he were suspended in a world of his own, a temporary escape from the chaos that awaited him.

But just as he allowed himself to relax, a voice broke through his reverie. "Eyes on me, Krum," the voice said, drawing his attention. He turned to see the figure of Amelia standing over, her eyes fixed on him.

"Everyone is looking for you," she continued, her gaze sympathetic as it met his own.

"Hedström," Viktor acknowledged, offering a small smile. "I just needed a moment," he admitted, grateful for the brief interruption of his thoughts. Amelia understood and nodded, and as she turned to leave, Viktor's hand shot out, grasping her own and pulling her close.

Amelia fell onto his lap, Viktor wrapped his arms around her in a tight embrace, the contact offering a much-needed source of comfort. "The last time I held you like this, I was also scared out of my mind, Hedström," he murmured, his words tinged with vulnerability and honesty. The memory of the day Amelia had fallen from exhaustion after a particularly grueling Galdr surfaced, and he couldn't help but be reminded of the fragility of life and the unknown that awaited him.

Amelia was caught off guard by the sudden embrace, but her heart swelled with warmth as she reciprocated, offering a reassuring squeeze. "I never got to say thank you for helping me that day, Krum. Thank you. I wouldn't have been able to perform a Galdr without you protecting me," she murmured, her words laced with gratitude and admiration. "You will do fine, Krum. My Galdr will hold," she added, offering a final boost of encouragement.

As the cool breeze blew through his hair, Viktor felt a sense of relief wash over him, his tensed muscles finally able to relax. He leaned back against the sturdy mast, feeling its rough texture against his back. Amelia remained on his lap engulfed in his embrace, and together, they sat in comfortable silence, gazing up at the starry sky above. It was a rare moment of peace for Viktor, away from the constant attention of the media and the pressure of being a Triwizard champion.

As he sat there with Amelia, he couldn't help but feel grateful for her presence. She had a calming effect on him, and he found himself opening up to her in a way he had never done before. The weight of the upcoming task was still heavy on his mind, but for the moment, he felt a sense of calm in her company.

He glanced down at Amelia, who was also lost in thought, her expression serene in the dim light. For a moment, he wished they could stay like that forever, just the two of them, away from the chaos and expectations of the outside world.

Viktor took a deep breath, steeling himself for what he was about to say. He looked down at Amelia, who was now looking up at him with curiosity and concern.

"I don't know how to say this exactly, but...I have feelings for you, Hedström," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Amelia's heart skipped a beat, and she felt her face flush with surprise and excitement. She had always been drawn to Viktor's quiet strength and determination, but had never imagined that this was possible between them.
