Australia passes by before I even get a chance to catch my breath. The weekend ending with a win for Daniel so good the crowd feels electric. Charles' Ferrari, Daniels Res Bull and Alonso's Ashton on podium?
Enough of a victory to catch a buzz.
It feels like everyone has. From the second the race wraps, we're all buzzing with energy and excitement. Roaring to go out and party until the sun rises.
Before the sun has a chance to come up, Amelia tugs the girls away from the dance floor with a promise of presents.
Presents?
Here and now?
Odd but there's no surprise drunken Cat isn't interested in. So away we go, reconvening with fresh drinks and giggles on the balcony so Amelia can smoke while we await said presents. Chatting away about boys and fashion without a care in the world until Charles interrupts the girls time, noisy music from the party wafting out to our solace on the balcony with the door swing.
"Your glass slipper awaits." He teases Amelia, who jumps up to see him like they've been separated for months rather than hours.
As he passes her the pizza box Charles tugs on Amelia's hand, whispering in her ear. Their eyes connect and you can physically see the unspoken affection that passes between them just before he pinches her chin for a gentle kiss.
It makes my stomach dropout.
That's love.
I want that.
Damn, have I ever had that with Chad?
I want to believe that we do. That we did at the least. I want to be able to sit here and imagine that Chas would look at me like that.
Amelia makes her way over, between her dress and that pizza she is truly something to behold.
"I told you Carmen, there's nothing I can't do!"
"A true queen!" Elsa cheers, all of us well past drunk.
Nothing goes better after dancing and drinking than pizza. How she got it delivered I have no idea and frankly I don't give a damn.
"Lifesaver," In thanks for my slice.
"Charles wanted to make sure I wasn't hungover tomorrow, we have early press." With a wink that says it all.
"He's so generous." Carmen agrees, by far the most drunk of us.
Amelia wiggles her brow with a sly smile "Always. Even in bed," She leans forward to us, "This morning, I swear to you it was a fucking out of body experience."
