Somehow, I survive Monaco week without losing my mind.
The busiest week of the season by far, well rewarded when we flee the country at the top of the morning after with all of our closest friends. Amelia insisted yacht summer breaks are becoming a tradition, and frankly that's a tradition I can get behind.
Lance is back in Canada, and thanks to the eventful week I just had Dad insists I take the break away from work.
Well, don't mind if I do.
"Alright my turn! Two truth and a lie. For everyone who catches your lie you drink, for everyone who believes a lie they drink." Charles decides the first game of the evening shortly after we've eaten dinner on the yacht to kick off our summer break.
In the afternoon we napped, sailing out of the busy port and working off our hangovers. Now that we're all back to the land of the living Carmen, George, Charles, Amelia, Elsa, Daniel and Max all sit around the outdoor dinner table snacking together as we play games to waste away the day.
The breeze is at our backs, sailing for Italy and privacy. Under the stars and the moon it feels like we're the only people in the world.
After the last few days, it's paradise.
Elsa chirps "I love this one! Me first," Rising from her chair with drink in hand. "I've swam with sharks, I just learned to surf and I've had a threesome."
Daniel growls in a way that says he's to jealous for the later. And I know she's swam with sharks so I place my bet on the three some with half of the table.
She drinks, but I still sip my drink as I eye the dutchman across from me.
"I can't believe you guys think I'm not adventurous!" Elsa is a bit offended we picked her lie so easily, which I can't help but laugh at.
"Darling, it's not you! It's him." Amelia giggles.
"We all know I'm adventurous," Max stands self nominating for next player. "Try this: I'm in the mile high club, I'm the best racing driver in the world and I always wear the same socks on race day."
Nobody dares vote his first a lie, but when Charles votes for his second as a lie I'm thrown.
Then Max drinks, and I'm fully shocked.
He doesn't know he's the best?
Must be the pessimist in him.
Daniel can't hide his surprise, "Mate, the same socks? What the fuck?"
"I wash them!" Max defenses.
