In the morning we wake up before our alarm goes off to the sound of Jos not just raising his voice, but fully screaming on the phone with someone. The boys are going carting today and we agreed to drop of lunch but there's no chance you'll catch me signing up to spend my day with Jos Verstappen.
Small doses of some people are better.
As small as possible.
As someone who lives with him Ally can't agree more so we proceed to spend the next five days I'm here avoiding the men together.
When lunch time comes we make waxing appointments shortly after because even a wax is worth it to avoid the toxicity circulating around that man. All the time away from Max must be making my heart grow fonder because when he pulls up in his little rickety cart with a giant grin on his face my heart beats so fast it nearly leaps out of ribcage.
Jos is right there when he whips in, "Nice! Almost two seconds faster than last time."
"Have I told you lately how beautiful you are?" Max breaks straight for me, ignoring his fathers timing comments in favor of swinging me around for a kiss.
A kiss that feels like heaven. A deep kiss that makes me long for more, more of him.
Not sharing a bed this past few days has been fucking killer. If anything it's just shown me how much I like the man, how much I can miss him while being in the same place he is. There's not enough time with Max that could possibly ever reach my fill.
"Have I told you lately how much sexy you look in a little cart?" I tease him, rubbing noses.
Max chuckles loudly planting me back on own two feet with a slap to the ass, "What did you bring for lunch?"
Ally recommended a local sandwich spot because she knew everyone's order already off the top off her head, so it seemed perfect. A little odd she knows Lando's but when I mentioned it she shrugged if off with a blush saying 'He visits a lot.'
Mhmmmm. Somehow I doubt that.
As we all gather around our sandwiches it devolves into the most normal family dynamic I have experienced with Jos so far, joking and telling childhood stories. Lando, Max and Ally all grew up around the carting tracks since they were little and have far too many funny stories together. It's entertaining just laughing with them as they retell stories, Jos sprouting off race stats that match with his moment they reconstruct with words.
It's actually quite nice.
Just when I'm beginning to think Jos can't be that bad, he pops off. While we've been chatting and eating it's started to drizzle and now Lando wants to quit carting for the afternoon in favor of joining us at the spa or going back to game.
Don't let him fool anyone, the man loves to be pampered.
Don't we all?
Well Jos isn't having that, saying how important it is to practice. Practice? These are fully men with full other racing jobs for a living. This is just supposed to be a fun past time activity.
