"And yet, our mother has made such a compelling argument that even he, the wildest of us Mikaelsons, has seen the error of his ways and accepted his new form. She is able to give Kol a life with Nyx that was never thought before possible. The chance to grow old together to have children of their own." Finn tells us while keeping eye contact with me. He turns to face Elijah and Klaus. "Change, dear brothers, is inevitable." He says, I look to Klaus and I could see the anger rolling off of him. "You would dare face us as a mortal? The only thing inevitable is your death." He says before he flings a knife at Finn, but he easily deflects it with magic, causing the knife to instead embed itself into the chair at the head of the table. Finn removes the knife from the chair and holds it aloft. "I suppose the honor of carving should go to the oldest. We have much to discuss." Finn says looking at the three of us.

Finn takes a sip of his wine, "I'm rather enjoying my evening." He says as I play up the heartbroken girl act as I play with the ring around my neck while looking at Kol's empty spot. At the same time, I was analyzing Finn and his mannerisms. "Well, I'd rather enjoy you getting to the point," Klaus says frustrated. Finn gives him a look setting down his glass. "I had nine hundred years to learn to be patient. Although, I am curious why you kept me daggered in a box for so long." Finn says looking at the two brothers. Klaus who was getting angrier by the second glares at Finn, "You were daggered for being an ever-simpering sycophant. Did Mother bring you back from the dead so you could wash her knickers?" Klaus taunts while he smirks at Finn in amusement, but Finn begins to lose his temper. "She raised me because I was treated unfairly! Cheated of all but the smallest portion of my life!" He says furiously before turning to Elijah clearly upset. "Elijah, I can understand such cruelty coming from him." He says as he points to Klaus, "But I always thought of you as being the compassionate one! What did I do to deserve you turning your back on me? Were you afraid of Niklaus? Are you still?" Finn asks Elijah, who unamused by Finn's words, remains silent. I sip my wine quietly watching the conversation play out. "Or perhaps jealousy is what kept me locked in a box? You coveted the duties of the eldest brother, in which case you had near-on a millennium to fix the problems of this family, and instead, produced nine centuries of failure."Finn says as he realizes his anger has gotten the best of him and pinches the bridge of his nose with his thumb and stops himself from further exposing his feelings to us. After a moment, Elijah breaks his silence with a light ghost of a smile. "You might reside-- somewhat parasitically, I might add-- in another body, but I assure you, in nine hundred years, your tedious sentiments remain quite the same. You see, Finn, like Father, you've always despised our supernatural existence. Father, of course, slaughtered and consumed his own, whereas you became pretentious and dull... much like this meal. I will not ask you again-- where is Mother?" Elijah says, I bite my lip hiding my laughter as Klaus is giggling at Elijah's insults. Suddenly, Cassie or well Esther arrives, "Oh, my darling son." She says causing me to look to my right as Finn immediately rises to his feet to greet his mother. "I've missed you, too." She says sarcasm dripping in her tone.

I sit and stare at my wine glass, Klaus on my left, Elijah in front of me. Finn next to him staring me down trying to catch my eye, Esther or Cassie whoever was at the head and keeping space between her and me an empty spot. Meant for the person who I have loved time and time again. "Why don't you say what you came here to say, so this wretched night can end?" Klaus says to Esther pulling me from my own thoughts. She looks between Klaus and Elijah, "It pains me that you and Elijah look at me with such disdain. I wish you could see that my every action has been to protect you!" She says causing me to look at Klaus his eyes glassed over. "You actually believe that, don't you? I knew you were a liar, but now I see you're utterly delusional." He claims as he stared his mother down. "If you can forget the hatred that you cling to and remember all the times I've mended and healed you." Esther says calmly. Klaus laughs sarcastically, but Esther turns to Elijah as I drop my head down, she was right when they were human there were so many times she fixed up Klaus because of his own actions. "Elijah, do you recall the day Niklaus challenged your father to a duel? Did I leave your brother to die alone? What did I say, when you came to me and asked me to help him?" Esther asks him and Elijah looks at Klaus before looking back and meeting her gaze. "That you would rather die than to see any of your children suffer." He says with a soft sigh. "The necklace." Klaus muttered in a horrified whisper. "Nik?" I ask him softly but, he couldn't hear me. He glares at Esther furiously. "It wasn't spelled to protect me. It made me weak." He said staring at her with hatred. "I sought to protect you from yourself! If you had killed your father in that duel, or anyone else in the course of your life, you would have activated your curse!" Esther claimed causing Klaus to angrily slam his hand down on the table. I jumped slightly from the action and Elijah looked to me with a worried gaze. I just held up a hand slightly letting him know I'm alright. "You ruined me! You left me to suffer at the hands of a father who valued only strength!" Klaus accused her angrily. "I kept you from becoming a beast for as long as I possibly could!" She shouts to him guilt evident in her voice. Klaus' voice raises to a shout, and he slams his head against the table once again before he rises to his feet. "Oh, you lied to me! To hide your own transgressions because of your own fear! My whole life, I sought the approval I was denied by the man I thought was my father! You turned me into the weakling he hated." Klaus shouted as Elijah rises to his feet and paced anxiously, while Esther gulps and looks guilty under Klaus' furious glare, unable to look him in the eyes. I move to stand as well I could feel Klaus breaking at the feeling of betrayal. "Look at me! You rant and you rave about the monster I have become, but you, Mother-- you are the author of everything I am."He shouts to her from across the table. Esther looks flustered and suddenly begins gasping for breath. Finn looks mildly alarmed as Esther faints and slumps over in her seat. Elijah manages to catch her before her head hits the table, and he looks at us in shock. I move to Klaus' side as he looks at her stunned.
