Chapter 20

"Are you nervous about tomorrow?" Asks Lorenzo, and Arthur turns over in bed. They've been in bed for a while, but they both can't sleep.

"It will be okay." Says Arthur and looks at the wall.

Everything needed to be alright. He tried so hard in the few days. He had eaten. Yes it was hard but he did it, even with a few bumbs on the road.

"Why can't you sleep?" Asks Lorenzo.

"I don't know, I just feel restless and I really want Oscar right now." Says Arthur and he means it.

All he needs is his arms around him and be with him for tomorrow. He wants that calm feeling Oscar gives him when he's nervous.

Oscar knows how to calm him. It's weird that someone can have that effect on you to be honest, but it makes him feel safe.

"Why don't you go to him?" Ask Lorenzo

"He wants to be alone."

"You didn't ask."

"I did in the the restaurant, but he says he has physio and a massage for tomorrow, and then he had to do dates."

"But you can always try to say how you feel." Says Lorenzo.

"It's not that simple." Says Arthur.

He needs to respect this for Oscar, he needs to respect it when Oscar needs this space.

"But Tur-"

"You have no idea how badly I want to call him." Whispers Arthur

"Then call him." Says Lorenzo, and Arthur stays silent.

He's only a phone call away and he can ask if Oscar will let him come over.

But then he asks for Oscar's attention.

"Okay, it's not okay if you have to think that long to call your boyfriend." Lorenzo sits down on Arthur's bed and the younger boy turns to his back.

"He wants space."

"And you need him right now." Says Lorenzo.

It's silent for a while. Lorenzo keeps looking at his youngest brother, while Arthur keeps looking at the ceiling.

"What if it's wrong tomorrow Enzo."

"Then we are going to be there for you, and we will fight it all over again."

"I don't want to fight."

"We will see Tutur." Says Lorenzo and Arthur looks at him.

"Will you be disappointed in me?" Asks Arthur and Lorenzo's heart hurt with those words.

"I will never be disappointed in you. I have seen how much you have tried to eat in the last two days. I'm proud of you, no matter what happens." Says Lorenzo and Arthur looks back to the ceiling.

"I never meant for this to happen."

"I know that."

"Does Charles?"

"He does."

"Why was he angry this afternoon?"

"He wasn't angry, me and Pierre were teasing him and he was done with it." Song Lorenzo and Arthur nods.

"As long he isn't mad at me." Whispers Arthur

"Why would he?" Asks Lorenzo.

"I must have done something. He's being weird since yesterday." Says Arthur.
