52 Things I Love About You ~ Jonathan Toews

Introduction

3 Years Later (2020)

Amy slid into the seat at her desk in her personal office at her house. She fiddled with the rings on her fingers and smiled. The cards laid outin front of her. All 52 of them.

Their three year anniversary was in one week and Amy had gotten onto the internet and found a small part of her gift to her husband.

On top of a new watch, she was making a list: '52 Things I Love About You'.

She had 52 playing cards and would post one thing she loved about Jonathan on each card.

It was hard for her to narrow it down to just 52 when she loved everything about Jonathan.

She grabbed her index cards from the drawer along with her glue stick and markers. She picked up her notebook and flipped to a blank page. After titling and numbering the page she began to.think of the things she wanted to put on the cards.

She had to do this now since Jonathan was in Dallas for a game and aside from Zachary and Riley, she was alone.

After a year of marriage, Amt had found out she was pregnant. 9 months later, little Riley was born. They were so excited and even Jonathans mom came down from Winnipeg.

She smiled to herself and patted her stomach. Now, she was pregnant about a year after Riley was born. She was about three months in and couldnt wait.

She finished her list after nearly one hour of deciding her most favorite things. She smiled to her self and began to pick and choose what colors she wanted to use.

She heard crying coming from the other room and walked towards the nursery. She picked up Riley and held her tight as Amy carried the child into the living room. She walked into the kitchen and grabbed some baby food then headed towards the living room and sat down on the couch to watch the game. Zachary was already sitting in the recliner.

She turned on the TV then switch the channel to NBCSN. She held the now sleeping child as the puck drop signaled the start of game.

"Go Daddy!" Zachary cheered as Jonathan snatched the puck and passed it over to Keith. Amy settled into the comfortable couch and wrapped a blanket around her careful to not awake the sleeping child.

Several hours later, four goals and one Blackhawks victory later Amy was passed out cold on the couch with Riley ontop of her chest. Zachary had snuggled into his mommy's side.

Jonathan quietly walked into the room and smiled at the sight of his beautiful wife and children. He kissed their heads then walked up to his own bedroom to get some sleep. After a long flight home, he was exhausted and despite the fact that it was 9:00 am he fell asleep.

Amy awoke and took Riley to her room and placed her in her crib.Zachary still was a sleep on the couch. She walked into the bedroom and was slightly startled that Jonathan was home. She crawled into bed and cuddled up to him. He looked at Amy and smiled.

"I thought you were coming home later tonight." Amy was slightly disappointed because she couldn't finish her gift without having to hide it.

"They had a change of plans because of an oncoming storm. Why? Not.happy to see me?" He ran his fingers threw her hair as she smiled.

"No, I was just wondering."

Jonathan got on top of her and began to kiss her neck. She laughed.

"It's been three day. Wanna make a quick round?"

"I would love to." Amy pulled Jonathan closer to her body. He began to unbutton her shirt when a cry came from outside the door.

"Daddy are you.in there?" Jonathan sighed and walked out the door to the living room.

Amy sat up on her elbows then rebuttoned her shirt. She walked out to the living room and smiled as Jonathan was tickling a laughing Zachary. She walked into her office and sat down at her desk. She put away her cards and supplies so Jonathan wouldnt see then walked back out to the living room where she sat down next Jomathan who was watching Spongebob with Zachary. Thankfully Riley was asleep.

Amy snuggled up to Jonathan and smiled. Her life was falling into place and she couldn't be any happier.

A/N Hey guys!! The sequel is up!! This is definitely gonan be alot longer than the other one. Im hoping for at least 55 chapters
