After taking a shower, I drove to Mystic Falls High.
At school, the girls and I were stretching on the field, while Jeremy sketched in his notepad and Tyler threw a football around.
"So, Enzo's back?" Caroline asked, stretching her legs.
"Yes," I confirmed. "He got in last night and he's staying at my house."
Bonnie looked confused. "Ah, who's Enzo?"
Caroline smirked. "Cassie's hot older boyfriend."
I stumbled and fell onto the grass, turning to shoot Caroline a look as she wore a mischievous grin.
"What?!" Bonnie shrieked, surprised by the revelation. "Ouch, my ears!" I exclaimed, covering my ears.
Elena waved off Caroline's teasing. "Don't mind Caroline, she's just having her fun. Enzo is one of Cassie's people."
Bonnie remained curious. "One of your people?"
"Yes," I confirmed, offering no further explanation.
Sensing Bonnie's interest, I offered, "You know what, how about I introduce you to him? I'll cook. We'll make it a family dinner."
"OK," the girls agreed.
Tyler jogged over, having apparently overheard our conversation. He kissed me on the cheek. "Does this mean I can come too?"
I smiled. "Of course, sweetie. You're family."
Spotting Stefan approaching, I waved at him. "Hey! So, what are you doing this evening?"
He raised an eyebrow. "Ahhh, not much, just making sure Damon doesn't destroy anything."
I smiled. "Good, then I want you to come to dinner."
"Are you asking or demanding?" he asked, amusement dancing in his eyes.
"A little bit of both," I teased back.
"Oh, and it's okay if you want to bring him," I added, nodding towards Damon, who was nowhere in sight.
Stefan frowned slightly. "Are you sure? You don't have to entertain him or invite him if you don't want to.""No, I really do want him there," I insisted. "Knowing him, he'll find a way to crash the party somehow."
"Okay, if you say so," Stefan acquiesced.
As we walked back towards the school, a football came hurtling towards us. In a quick, fluid motion, Stefan caught the ball and threw it back.
