Haneul blinked her sleepy eyes a few times when her body sensed the difference in car speed. Jongseong was driving much slower as they entered downtown. "Hey, we're here"
Haneul looked around the busy downtown, maybe because it was the weekend. She stayed silent for a few minutes, taking in the foreign scenery.
"The Secret Garden?" she read the signage as they passed a garden. "It's a huge flower garden. We can go there later" he replied. She nodded in reply.
The car drove uphill and into the woods. After a few turns, they arrived at the parking lot of the resort. It was a grand looking resort with a few parts still under maintenance.
"I tried to fix this place but so far... yea that's all I could do for the time being" Jongseong told.
"Don't worry, starting is already a great achievement, Jongseong-ssi". He smirked.
He parked the car and helped her carry her luggage.
"You don't have to always help do things for me, you know" Haneul tried to take her luggage from him. "I'm doing this because I want to" he smirked.
At the sight of Jongseong stepping into the lobby, the workers immediately greeted and helped them with their belongings.
"Mr. Park" one of the workers who seemed to be the manager, came forward and greeted them. "And Mrs. Park"
Haneul's eyes widened a bit but returned the bow anyway. She would never get used to people addressing her like that.
"Congratulations on your wedding. Enjoy your stay here and let us know if you need any assistance"'
"Will do that. Thank you" Jongseong smiled in reply.
They were directed to their suite. It was a one bedroom with a balcony overlooking the mountain view. The interior was modern with updated appliances.
"Woah!" Haneul unknowingly ran towards the balcony to enjoy the beautiful scenery and feel cool air brushing her face. Without her realizing it, Jongseong was staring at her. He quickly snapped out of the daze and turned to their luggage.
Hearing the ruckus at the door, Haneul quickly went to help him.
"You can take the bed" Jongseong spoke after he glanced at the bed. Before them was a king sized bed decorated with two kissing swans made of towels at the center along with rose petals lined into the shape of a heart around it.
Haneul looked away in embarrassment. "I mean I can look for other room"
"Nah it's okay. This" Jongseong threw himself onto the sofa. "Is a sofa bed so no worry"
"If you say so" Haneul sat at the edge of the bed. "Thanks"
Jongseong stole glances at her, who was taking pictures of the swan towels with a smile on her face.
'She's easy to be amused' Jongseong thought as he noticed Haneul was really happy when she was looking around the room.
Haneul was leaning against the railing of the balcony, enjoying the view. Jongseong came and joined her.
"Hey"
"Hey" she replied shortly.
Jongseong bit his lips, nervous to start a conversation.
"You okay?"
"Yea sure. Why?" she glanced at him from scrolling through her phone. He was about to say something when she suddenly exclaimed.
"Thank goodness I look good in these photos. I thought I looked so nervous"
He seemed puzzled so she showed the screen to him. It was an article about their wedding along with photos taken. All of the photos were gorgeous and both of them looked good together. She paused scrolling when they arrived at the picture they were kissing.
