Being Nice

Tonight, the boys have a very exclusive party to go to. All A-listers, Natalie is going as well, but only for a short time. The event is so prestigious it has two parts, one with entourage like publicists and producers and the other with just the celebrities.

Since Natalie is trying to keep a low profile, she'll just be going to the first half. The A-Listers can bring a plus one and Louis tried to convince her to go with him, but it really isn't a good idea. It's just as well in her opinion, she could do without a bunch of sweaty bodies packed into a room.

It's just there's a problem, well it's hardly a problem, more like a situation, which is that once they're there Louis doesn't want to leave her side which is not helping them stay lowkey.

The party is in full swing now, Niall is with them too, it's making them look less suspicious, but really it's because Niall doesn't feel he's had enough alcohol to venture off from people he knows yet.

"Lou, baby," she whispers to him so no one else will hear, not that they even could if she spoke normally due to the volume of the room, but better safe than sorry. "You'll be fine, just go for a few hours, mingle, or don't. Stay with one of the boys, but you have to go," she chides.

"I don't want to," he whines.

"Louis, you've been specifically asked to at least make an appearance," she reminds him. "And before you say you don't care, we really don't want to piss off Linda now do we."

Linda made sure to have a serious conversation with them about how their relationship being discovered could cause bad press or something. Neither of the two really listened, but Natalie understood the point, they can't be too obvious.

Louis slumps over the table and hides his face in his arms.

Niall slides around the small circular table to come over and clap Louis on the back, "Come on, it'll be fine. Just stick with me."

Louis huffs and straightens, "I don't want to follow you along while you chat girls up."

"Hm yeah," Niall shrugs. "You could play wing man."

"Rather not," Louis rolls his eyes. "Excuse us," he says and pulls Natalie towards the doors.

"Louis," she warns, but he laughs and pulls her along regardless.

They get out outside quickly and her ears are so happy for the decrease in volume. She can still hear all the hustle and bustle inside, but it's muffled and the breeze is to die for. There's so much more space, it feels much lighter and open.

She sighs happily and despite the want for space, she huddles in close to her boyfriend.

"Better?" He asks, smoothing his fingertips gently up and down her spine. She hums happily and buries her head more in his chest. "See," he says and pulls her back a bit, "We could just cuddle all night if I go home with you now."

"Louis-" she starts, but he interrupts her.

"No, baby hear me out." He pleads and she lets him continue, lets  is a stretch, there is no stopping him when he gets his mind on something like this. "We can get some snacks and rent a movie. I'll give you my comfiest clothes," he sees her not looking very convinced, "And I'll give you a back rub and braid your hair."

"Can you even do that?" She giggles.

"Actually, for a matter of fact I can." He says, puffing out his chest proudly. "I have a lot of sisters you know."

She nods and tries to figure out how to let him down carefully. "That all sounds very nice and as much as there's nothing else I'd rather do baby, we can't."
