"Thanks for coming Lots," Louis says, pulling her into a hug and taking her bags for her.

After cleaning out the spare room Louis had the bright idea to use it as Natalie's new office. She's taken a bit to the of bethought of becoming a photographer and has signed up for classes in the fall so he's bought her a new camera as well. He wants to put it on a styled shelf with little candles and photos and things.

When it comes to decorating though he knows himself and he understands the limits of his talents. Louis then had one thought and one thought only, to call Lottie. It's what he did for decorating the rest of the house and it worked really well so far.

"Course. You know I'm always here for you," Lottie says, looking intently at her brother.

He rolls his eyes, "I'm fine."

"I can see that," she laughs. "You look good. The house is clean and you actually look like you've gotten some sleep."

"I do alright on my own you know," he scoffs, "But yeah, there's no denying I'm better when I'm with her."

Lottie smiles widely, "So you're a proper sap now then?"

"I'm happy yeah? Let me be happy," he whines despite knowing she's just teasing him. Heaven knows if anyone else was such a love sick puppy like he's being now he would tease them mercilessly.

"Of course I want you to be happy Lou, but you're hardly a romantic," she says.

Louis' face scrunches up indignantly, "What do you know of it?"

"I'm your sister. I know everything," she shrugs.

"You'd like to think," Louis rolls his eyes again and huffs loudly, "Am I going to regret asking for your help?"

"Never," she says surely and makes her way into his now very empty spare room.

Louis hums and looks around, "You're sure about this color?"

They had it painted the other day while he and Natalie went out for the day. They walked around a market and sat by a lake. They even rented little swan boats.

"Yes. I did my research," she replies.

He chuckles, "How?"

He loves his sister very much and he thinks he's a nice and thoughtful brother, but there are parts of her he will never understand. I mean research, to decorate a room? He didn't even study for exams. Ever.

"Pinterest Louis," she says like it's the most obvious thing, "I followed her and got some inspiration."

"Oh alright," he nods. "That's nice and kind of creepy."

"Am I going to regret coming here?" She teases.

Louis laughs loudly and slings his arm over her shoulders, "Never."

It takes a few good hours for them to get everything set up just right. Louis knew he knew his girlfriend very well, but setting up a room for her brought it to light in such an interesting way. It makes sense since all they've done for the past few months is live together and spend all their free time together, he just didn't realize it until now.

He didn't think he'd know she'd like closed bins instead of clear to hide the mess and carpet instead of hard wood because her feet are always cold. A space for pictures that she can change whenever she gets a new one because she doesn't want to have to make a final decision and changing a frame each week can get tiresome.

That she'd like closed storage on top of her desk to organize her things because she likes to keep her desk clear of clutter when she's working and a chair with a high back so she can lean her head back against it when she gets tired.
