You Cook?

Days off are few and far between and though Natalie feels like she should be doing something fun or extraordinary, in truth she's excited to relax and stay in one place for more than a few hours. She's just showered and done her skin care routine and now she lies in one of the hotel beds, spread out like a starfish. Louis' been gone for a little while but she figures he's with the guys or still rehearsing. She's trying not to think of it.

It's weird, being so unfamiliar with time to herself now. She used to crave it back at the house with 5 rowdy boys, but now she doesn't know what to do with it. In fairness, there isn't much she can do, she has limited resources.

Well, that isn't completely true. She could ask someone to run an errand for her, but she feels bad. And besides they can't really take too much else with them. The bus is crowded enough as it is. They are lucky for sure, their bus isn't the smallest, but it really isn't big enough to take up a new hobby.

She plays cards a lot, but that gets tiring after a while. Same with the play station the boys have and you can only watch so many movies in a day. Funnily enough, napping gets boring too.

She rolls over on the bed and considers texting Louis when the hotel phone rings. She doesn't think she's ever heard one call a room before. It's odd, she answers, she's too curious not to.

"Hello?" She says, the question clear in her voice.

"Mrs. Tomlinson?" The woman on the other side asks.

"Oh, um," Natalie stumbles with her words. "No, Natalie is just fine."

"Okay Miss Natalie, Mr. Tomlinson requests you downstairs." She fills in. "I'll have someone come get you in 20 minutes." She offers.

"10 is fine," Natalie replies.

"Wonderful, Mr. Tomlinson asked me to inform you that he left you something in the closet." And with that the receptionist lady hangs up.

Natalie eagerly opens the door of the closet to see a light pink dress with three tiers, short sleeves, and a v neck. It's lovely and floaty and overall it looks incredibly comfortable.

Her boy is always surprising her.

It doesn't take her long to get ready, throwing on the clothes and a quick coat of mascara. She dries her hair and is thankful its naturally straight, doesn't really take much. Finally she slips on a pair of sandals, going for the casual look, knowing Louis wouldn't want her to be anything but comfortable.

At the last minute she clips her hair back from her face with a half up half down mini bun and then she's out the door.

Her escort is kind, but quiet. Directing her where to go surely, but not forcefully and soon enough she's lead to big double doors that open into an industrial kitchen.

She's met with Louis, her Louis, in an apron that's covered in heaven knows what and hair a bit disheveled. Despite it all he looks lovely with a low white tank top that shows off his lovely tattoos and collarbones and a pair of tight black jeans.

"Well, if I'd have known the chef was this handsome I'd have come down to meet him a long time ago," Natalie says with a smirk.

"Well," he smiles and takes the apron off, "You haven't tried the food yet." He moves closer to her and takes her hands in his to look at her, "You're a vision."

Natalie laughs and rolls her eyes, but blushes under the compliment regardless. She's not sure if there will ever be a time where he doesn't make her get all flustered.

"Thank you and thanks for the dress baby," she says moving in to hug him.

"Glad you like it," he says happily and then takes one of hers hands back in his, twirling her around. "Care for some music?"

"That'd be lovely," she smiles so big it hurts.

He puts on some John Mayer, twirling her around again a few times to make her giggle before pulling her close to him.

"I didn't know you could dance," she says surprised.

Louis hums and dips her a bit, careful to make sure they don't knock into anything. "Yeah, my younger sister Lottie was really nervous about a school dance she was going to so I learned a few things to help her out. Ya know, that way when she had her first dance with her crush she felt a little more prepared." He shrugs like that isn't the sweetest things she's ever heard in her life.

"Louis," she whines. She loves him, she absolutely loves the incredibly kind and caring man in front of her. "Are you like a unicorn or something?" She asks.

Louis lets out the loudest cackle she's heard in a while, throwing his head back and his chest vibrates with it as he's pressed up against hers. "Love, I mean, what?" He says through some more laughter.

She laughs too and drops her head onto his shoulder. "I just mean like," she sighs and lifts her head up. "You're literally the best. I don't think anyone has ever been as kind and wonderful as you. I'm so so lucky."

"Aw love," he says, turning his head away and hiding it in his shoulder. She runs a hand soothingly up and down the base of his neck. "Thank you," he whispers and turns back to look at her.

She nods and kisses him gently, the two of them still swaying to the music.

"Better eat before it gets cold," Louis says and ushers them over to the two stools he set out. He's made them some ravioli with sauce and bread on the side that's nice and warm.

"Can you tell me more about your family, your sisters?" She asks as they start to eat.

"Yeah, sure. Well, I have 4 of them," he starts.

"4 sisters?" She exclaims, "How have we never talked about this before?"

He shrugs, "I think I might have mentioned them, but I don't always talk about them so much. Miss them terribly."

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you upset," she says with a hand on his arm.

"No, it's good to talk about it. I want to," he reassures her.

"Okay, I'm here for you baby. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help," she says.

Louis pulls her into a hug at that and when they pull away she moves her stool closer to him. She keeps her hand on his back as he talks about all his sisters and shows her pictures. He tells her stories of slumber parties with nail polish and makeup. Of teaching them all how to play football and when he was younger asking his mum for more siblings so they can have a whole team some day.

He talks about leaving them to go on X factor and crying every night without them. How he still isn't used to silence and misses someone bothering him every other minute. She tells him she can bother him more if it helps.

"They sound amazing," Natalie tells him with a smile.

"You'll have to meet them sometime, they'd love you," he says sweetly.

"Do you think?" She asks hopefully.

"What's not to love?" He asks as he looks at her with so much sincerity she may as well just melt right into the chair. And then he kisses her and she really does melt into the chair. Falling over dramatically when they part and slumping into his lap.

"What's all this?" He laughs rubbing a hand up and down her back.

"I'm melting, that's it you're officially too cute," she whines, hugging him around his waist and pressing a kiss to his belly.

He gently lifts her up into his lap and kisses all over her cheeks and nose. He pushes her hair back from her face and rubs a thumb over her cheekbone. "I think they'll love you just as much as I do."
