Love to hear

"Can you do me a favor?" Louis asks Natalie one night right before he goes up on stage. He's fixing his in ears and smoothing out his hair one last time.

"Sure anything," she shrugs easily.

"Can you draw me a picture?" He asks earnestly. He seems so random to her sometimes.

She thought he was going to ask for some water or her to get a video him on stage or something,  but this is fine too. "Yeah, of what?"

"Anything you want," he says absently, jumping up and down to psych himself up.

"Why do you want that?" She questions.

"I don't know," he shrugs shyly.

"So you just asked for no reason?" She teases, poking his belly, "Come on baby, you can tell me," she pecks his cheek to try to ease the answer out of him.

"I don't know," he says dragging out the word and pulling her closer to her by the waist, "So I can look at it."

"Well sure, that makes sense," she smiles up at him.

"Oh, this is so silly," he chuckles and hides his face in his hands and ducks down to lean against her chest. "I just thought like I could hang it somewhere to look at when we aren't together or something." He mumbles.

"Are you serious?" She asks gently.

"Is that okay?" He asks.

"Okay?" She parrots, beside herself with how adorable he is. "Louis, I think I've said this many times before, but that is the sweetest thing I've ever heard."

"Well you're the sweetest person I've ever met," he says and noses her cheek.

"Are you trying to kill me?" She asks dramatically, she makes a show of falling further into his arms and clutching her heart.

He giggles and holds her tightly as he curls into him. He gently grabs her chin and peppers kisses across her cheeks and forehead and the bridge of her nose. He nuzzles his nose under her ear and whispers about how sweet he thinks she is.

How is it that less than a year ago she didn't even know him. Six months ago she hated him. And now... now she loves him.

They break apart when the crowd starts cheering at a volume level she never knew was possible and Louis is getting told he needs to be on stage immediately. "

See you later," Louis tells her with a chaste kiss to her lips and then he's gone and she's left thinking about a blue eyed boy she has to draw a picture for.

A few hours later, she and Louis are snuggled up in bed, but she can't get how much she likes him out of her head. All her ill expressed feelings are rattling around her brain. It's like when you lay down to go to bed at night and can't find a comfortable position, it's like that in her brain. She's not always the best at expressing herself, but she's trying.

"Hey Lou?" She asks. He nods against her neck from where he's pressed against her back and she smiles, "I really really like you."

"Do you now?" He asks smugly, probably at the randomness of her statement.

"So, so much." She admits, "Don't know what I'd do without you."

Louis coos, and turns her around so she faces him. "I really really like you too."

"Well, that's a relief," she jokes and he huffs out a laugh. "Really like your laugh," she says in a daze of everything Louis. He's all that's on her mind now a days.

"Thank you my love," he says sweetly.

"And your eyes," she says and now he's smiling so wide he's getting little creases in the corners by them. "And your nose," she continues.

"My nose?" He asks, scrunching it up cutely.

"Yeah," she sighs, "Especially when you do that." She kisses it twice. When she pulls back his cheeks are flushed and she can't help herself but to keep going. "And your hair, even in the morning when it's all a mess," she says, ruffling it up. "Your collarbones," she says caught up in staring at them and brushing her fingers gently over them.

"Well that's a new one," he remarks.

"Nah," she shakes her head, "Always liked them. Very sexy."

"Really?" He asks, shocked by this for some reason.

"Yeah," she sighs dreamily and he kisses her gently in response.

"Well, I really like your lips," he says and kisses her again. "And your cheeks," he pauses to kiss each one. "The little dimples kill me," he gushes. He lays her down on her back and continues. "Your ears."

"Ears?" She squeaks with a little giggle.

"Yeah, so little and cute," he says sitting up beside her and grabbing her ears tenderly. "And your neck," he says, resuming his kisses. "Your shoulders," he kisses both of them. "Your hips," he says cheekily, shifting down the bed a little bit and moving her shirt up with both of his hands. He pauses to kiss the little dips there. "And your tummy," he kisses it and rests his head on it to look up at her. He sighs then like he's lost in a day dream. "And I'm not sure what this is called," he moves up again, sliding his hands up to the side of her ribs. He noses his way up from her stomach to where her ribs meet in the middle of her chest, exposed from her v-neck shirt, and he places a quick kiss there. She inhales sharply, but is distracted when he continues, "But whatever it is has to be one of my favorite spots," he kisses it again.

"Why?" She asks out of genuine curiosity. No ones ever paid this much attention to her body before. Her stomach is swimming with butterflies.

"S' sexy," he shrugs with a sheepish grin, "But my absolute favorite spot is kind of a new one." He says and she quirks and eyebrow at him. He lays his ear down on her chest over her heart. "Love to hear your heart beating. Glad you forced me to be the little spoon sometimes because then I got to learn that."

She smiles and closes her eyes, too overwhelmed with his charm and his sickeningly sweet words. She hums and runs her hands through his hair, "Only beats for you my love."

Louis looks up at her with a breath taking smile but then pouts, "Hey, that's what I call you." He whines.

"What? Aren't you my love too? No one else I'd rather it be." She points out, "No one else it could be."

He softens and holds her close around her middle, pulling her into him. "And I'd have only you my love."

And that's more than enough for now. She pushes away the thoughts of her not expressing herself enough or not telling him she loves him. She smiles and rests her cheek against the top of his head, "Only you."
