you and me, me and you

distraction

I felt Bella's hand squeeze tighter as we walked into set, our hands swinging back and forth. Our feet scuffed the ground and gravel shifting was the only sound in the air, everyone knew now and we didn't have to jump back from each other when someone came close. Craig knew, Pedro obviously knew. I was still nervous. What was Bella gonna do? Kiss me in front of everyone? Or hug me? Or nothing? I didn't know what their intentions were gonna be with me now in public. 

"Hi Bellie!",  a voice snapped me out of my thoughts, "Hi Amara"

I looked up, meeting Pedro's kind eyes, "Oh, hi" I smiled 

He looked down at Bella and I's hand interlinked and smiled, looking back up at us reassuringly. They tousled Bellas hair and they grunted in annoyance, tucking their hair back behind their ears, 

"Eva's looking for you"

"Mkay" they smiled with their teeth. They poked Pedro in the chest and made a fart noise with their mouth and walked towards the make-up trailer. Our hands still linked, we walked up the small steps and Bella knocked on the metal door to the trailer. A tall woman with blonde hair opened the door, she smiled at both Bella and me, welcoming us inside the trailer. 

"I heard the news!, you are so cute together!" She squealed 

"Oh please" Bella scoffed 

All I could do was smile with a red face. Bella rubbed her thumb against the back of my hand, then gestured towards a chair over to the right side of the trailer and let go of my hand, sitting in the chair next to the one they gestured towards. I sat there, and put my knees up and tucked them to my chest and dangled my left arm over the arm rest. Eva picked up a hairbrush from the bench in front of us, she started to brush Bellas hair 

"Wait!" Bella exclaimed, "Can Amara please brush my air?" They smiled and looked at Eva through the mirror 

"Pfft, sure" Eva giggled and handed the brush to me with a smile, "I'll go get you guys some coffee's actually while you do that- Amara what do you like?"

I felt too awkward to say "Uh-"

"She likes lots of creamer and sugar" Bella smiled 

"Gotcha" Eva smiled and left the trailer. 

Bella smiled and clapped their hands together as I ran the brush through their hair, "Why do yo like me brushing your hair so much?" I said with a smile 

"Because I lo-," they paused. Were they about to say that they love me? Why did they pause? "Because I just love it" They smiled. Dammit. 

"Hm" I smiled. I ran the brush through their thick brown hair, running my fingers through the top of it. I scooped their hair in a pony tail and brushed from underneath. I caught them looking at me from the mirror, smiling. I smiled back and they titled their head back, so their eyes were facing the ceiling, 

"Hi" they smiled 

"Hello"

"I haven't kissed you yet today" they frowned. They grabbed my face from above them and pulled me closer, my hair surrounding their face like a privacy curtain as Bella pressed their lips to mine and held my face, a longer kiss than usual. They kept their lips there and kept pressing their mouth to mine, I could tell they were smiling. They pulled away and tucked my hair behind my ears for me, 

"You look so pretty today" They said 

"What is up with you todayyy? So flirty" I said as a finished brushing their hair. I put the brush down on the bench in front of them, 

"I dunno" they giggled and grabbed my waist, looking up at me with their deep brown eyes, glinting in the light, "can I have oneeee more kiss?" they closed an eye sand squinted. I bent down and planted a small kiss on their lips as the trailer door opened and I went to go sit back down,
