Draco's Room
Draco's Point of View
Where is she? I thought while I lay on my bed. Did she forget? The next sound I heard was rapid knocks against the door. I quickly jumped out of my bed, pulled my shirt down, straightened the creases, and opened the door slightly so, I could see who it was.
"Hi, Draco," a soft voice greeted. Y/N. I thought and quickly pulled open the door, letting her inside.
"After you, Madame," I welcomed with a smirk. "And how is the lady tonight?"
"Good," she replied and began to arrange the books on the bed. "I was thinking about you at Hogsmeade today."
Y/N was thinking about me?
"I bought you some candy," she said, opening her bag to show the assortments of sweets. "They're all for you."
"I can't take this much," I said, pushing the bag back to her.
"Please, it's just a couple of chocolates," Y/N said, placing the bag on the bed. "Just don't tell Sasha. She'll get jealous."
"Ah, yes," I added. "Sasha, your acquaintance."
We sat together on the bed, and she asked me to read a section from the book. Although I was hesitant, I started reading and flipping the pages. I couldn't help but notice how different Y/N was from my other friends. She has a knack for making even the tedious tasks enjoyable, which is something that Crabbe, Goyle, and Blaise didn't do. Most of our fun included teasing each other and pranking other peers. This was a nice change. Does she count as a friend? No, she's my tutor. Why would she become friendly in that way with a student? It's too early to make decisions now. Maybe she might think of me as a friend. I could use that nowadays.
"Draco?" she asked.
"Yes!" I answered quickly.
"Did you finish?" Y/N continued.
"Almost," I replied, a bit embarrassed.
After actually finishing the chapter, I awaited her questions. I hope we played that game we did yesterday. I've thought of a twist for it, though.
"Ready?" Y/N began. "What-"
"Wait," I interrupted. "This time, when I get them right, I ask questions about you. When I'm wrong, you ask about me."
"Deal," she agreed. "What is a Veritaserum?"
"Oh, easy! A truth potion," I answered with a smirk. "What's your dream job?"
"An alchemist," Y/N responded.
"That's brilliant," I added. "Next?"
"Which potion is distinctive because of its 'mother of pearl sheen?'"
"Amortentia," I replied slowly. "Strongest love potion in the world... biggest fear?"
"Spiders," she said. "I hate 'em."
I tried to make sure to get every single question correct.
Y/N's Point of View
I feel bad for Draco for making him wait for me. What if he's gone to bed by now? Oh, who goes to bed before eight anymore? Probably not him. I hurried to his room and gave a knock on the door.
The door opened slightly, and I greeted him, "Hi, Draco."
Draco opened the door all the way and allowed me to enter.
"After you, Madame," he said with a smirk. "And how is the lady tonight?"
"Good," I replied. I knew this was a stretch saying this. "I was thinking about you at Hogsmeade today. I bought you some candy; They're all for you."
I opened my bag and presented him with the candies.
"I can't take this much," Draco began.
"Please, it's just a couple of chocolates," I assured, placing the bag on the bed and then thinking of Sasha. "Just don't tell Sasha. She'll get jealous."
"Ah, yes. Sasha, your acquaintance," Draco added.
We were both sitting on the bed when I handed him a book. I asked him to read the next section and observed as he browsed through the pages. He appeared displeased about having to read, but it was required. We can always do the thing we did yesterday. I think he enjoyed it a lot. It's nice to see him with a smile. Even in class, he's usually frowning, especially recently. I wonder if we could ever be friends. What am I talking about? I'm his tutor and a classmate from the enemy house. This could be a bad look for us. We should keep it at this, I guess. I wish to know what's going on with his life. Maybe, if I get closer to him, he might tell me. After all, it's only been day two, and we've been having progress. I hope for the best.
"Draco?" I asked.
"Yes!" he replied.
"Did you finish?" I asked.
"Almost," he said, going back to his reading.
When he finished the chapter, he looked at me and waited for my questions. I stood up from the bed and held the book in my hand. Once I skimmed through the pages, I found a great question to ask.
"Ready?" I began. "What-"
"Wait," Draco interrupted. "This time, when I get them right, I ask questions about you. When I'm wrong, you ask about me."
"Deal; what is a Veritaserum?" I agreed and began.
"Oh, easy! A truth potion," Draco quickly replied with a smirk. "What's your dream job?"
"An alchemist," I answered, hoping he wouldn't think it was weird.
"That's brilliant," he said. "Next?"
"Which potion is distinctive because of its 'mother of pearl sheen?'" I questioned, hoping this one would stump him.
"Amortentia," Draco replied, processing. "Strongest love potion in the world... biggest fear?"
"Spiders," I responded. "I hate 'em."
I didn't think I would have to answer this many questions.
