The Great Hall
The table was awkward this morning. Sasha and I didn't try to talk either; the Trio was off. Thank goodness Luna Lovegood came by our table.
"Hello, everyone," Luna greeted.
"Mornin', Luna," Sasha and I replied.
"You look dreadful, Ron," Luna said. Ron lifted his glass slightly, and she looked at Harry.
"Is that why you put something in his cup?" Luna asked.
"Is it a tonic?" Sasha quickly questioned him.
My eyes followed Harry's hands. It looked as if there was a small vial grasped between his palm. Could it be? Felix Felicis?
"Ron!" Hermione scolded. "Don't drink that!"
Ron took one more look at Hermione. His eyes travelled down to Harry's hands. Ron pressed the cup's rim against his lips and chugged down the drink.
"You could be expelled for that!" Hermione exclaimed.
"Don't know what you're talking about," Harry said, winking at Sasha, Luna, and me.
"C'mon, Harry!" Ron shouted, jumping up from his seat. "We've got a game to win!"
The Quaffle was mid-air. Slytherin grabs it and rushes over towards Gryffindor's hoop. Before it entered the goal, Ron hit the Quaffle, sending it the other way.
Ginny Weasley stops her broom and looks at her brother, "What's gotten into him?"
"Ginny, let's go!" Dean said, brushing past her on her broom.
Later on, the Quaffle lands in Ginny's position. As Bludgers attempted to attack her, careless broom work was needed. She leaned against her broom and sent the Quaffle through the Slytherin goal.
The Gryffindor crowd erupted in screaming.
"Go, Ginny!" I shouted.
"We won!" Sasha screamed, clapping.
There was going to be a party tonight.
"Weasley, Weasley, Weasley!" the crowd chanted.
"Ron seems to be enjoying himself," Sasha said.
"Yep," I replied. "It's his lucky day."
"You shouldn't have done it, Harry," Hermione complained.
"Yeah..." Harry began. "I suppose I could've used a Confundus Charm?"
Hermione was shocked and looked at Harry, "That was tryouts. This is an actual match-"
Harry chuckled and pulled the vial out of his pocket. He held it in his hands, the vial full and the seal unbroken. Sasha and I looked at the bottle, surprised.
"You didn't put it in?" Hermione asked, shocked. Harry shook his head. "Ron only thought you did..."
I felt a sudden unease as my surroundings appeared distorted, and my heart sank. I couldn't understand what was happening since everything had seemed fine moments before. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that something wrong was about to occur. My thoughts were only Draco. I couldn't help but wonder what was happening to me. This intense feeling of love was confusing, and I couldn't comprehend its intensity. Draco, Draco, Draco.
"What the hell..." I whispered and heard Harry call my name.
"Y/N!" Harry called out. "Come quick!"
I ran after Harry. We both slowed down after reaching a staircase. Harry grabbed my arm and looked at the bottom of the steps.
Hermione...
I slowly went down the steps and took a seat beside her. Small birds circled her head, changing colours.
"Charms spell," Hermione softly explained. "Just practising."
"Ah," I said.
"Well, they're good," Harry complimented, coming down and sitting beside us.
Hermione looked down at her wand, "How does it feel, Harry? When you see Dean with Ginny?"
"We know, Harry," I said.
"I see how you look at her," Hermione continued.
The door busted wide, and Ron burst into the room, pulling Lavender Brown beside him. Both of them stopped giggling and watched the three of us.
"Oops," Lavender began. "I think this room's taken."
"What's with the birds?" Ron asked.
Hermione rose from steps, pointing her wand out. "Oppugno!"
The birds raced to Ron, making him run out of the room, shutting the door. The birds then exploded, turning into feathery clouds. Hermione sank to the ground with a sob. Harry and I wrapped our arms around her. We watched as the final feather slowly dropped to the ground.
"It feels like this..."
The next night was Slughorn's Christmas party. Oh, how it felt so horrible not being able to see Draco that night and the night before.
"How do I look?" I asked Sasha, patting down my dress.
It wasn't much. The dress was tight but got flowy once you went down it. It landed up to my ankles, and it was a rose pink.
"Beautiful," Sasha replied in awe. "Wish Draco would be able to see it."
Draco... Right, he wasn't invited to the party.
"Yeah," I said, my mood changing a little. "I'll see you later then?"
"Yep!" Sasha replied. "Have fun!"
At the party, Harry and I waited for Hermione to arrive.
"Drink?" Neville Longbottom asked.
"Neville?" I exclaimed, shocked.
"I didn't make it into the Slug Club," Neville explained. "It's alright. Belby's handing out towels near the loo."
There were sounds of ruffles near the curtains. Harry raised an eyebrow at me as he looked behind to see what it was. A pair of feet in heels were sticking out. Harry and I walked over to the curtains, going behind them to see a surprise.
"What are you doing?" Harry asked Hermione, startling her.
"Yeah, what the hell are you doing?" I asked too.
"Hm?" Hermione answered, distracted. "Right, well, I've just escaped... I left Cormac under the mistletoe."
"Cormac!" I shouted, and Hermione shushed me.
"That's who you invited?" Harry questioned, with a little laugh.
"I thought it would annoy Ron the most," Hermione groaned. "But he's a menace."
Another waiter peeked behind the curtains and looked at the three of us, holding a tray. "Dragon tartar?"
"No, thank you," Hermione responded.
"Figures," the waiter said. "They give one bad breath."
"On second thought," Hermione said, pulling the tray from his hands. She began to shovel them into her mouth. We all heard footsteps, making Hermione gasp. "Oh, no! Here he comes!"
