The Great Hall
"So, how was day one?" Sasha asked, plopping herself onto a bench.
As dinner approached, I couldn't help but feel that tutoring Draco wasn't as bad as I thought. He doesn't treat me differently in public, which is a relief. Surprisingly, our first session went smoothly. I was expecting him to be grumpy about being taught by a classmate, but he was open and willing to learn. I even got to know more about him.
"One of what?" I asked and facepalmed myself. "Oh, right, Draco! Yeah, he's a great listener."
I didn't tell anyone else I was tutoring Draco. Why would people need to know that? It's not hot gossip. I don't know if Draco wants me to tell others. I looked over to his table to see he still seemed gloomy. He was fine minutes ago; he was energetic. He took notes from what I said though now he was back to his dreadful self. His mood lifted unnoticeably when he tripped some kid walking past him. I never said he wasn't a douchebag.
"Did he say anything mean?" Sasha asked again before stuffing her mouth with a spoonful of mashed potatoes.
"Nope, surprisingly," I replied.
"Did you kiss?" Sasha asked with her mouth filled.
The drink that sat in my mouth poured right back into the glass. Sasha let out a couple of laughs as she watched my face in shock.
"Kiss? Who?" Hermione asked me. This girl pops up at the most random times.
"No one!" I exclaimed and kicked Sasha's leg beneath the table so she wouldn't say anything about Draco. "That is disgusting."
The day after was full of exciting plans for fun activities in Hogsmeade as sixth-year students. There were rumors that some Gryffindors were hosting a party, so the girls and I decided to go dress shopping. While I don't feel like wearing a dress, maybe a nice blouse could work. Sasha was thrilled about the party, as Gryffindors tend to party hard before the holiday breaks.
"We should go to the Three Broomsticks in the evening," Sasha suggested as we walked to Hogsmeade.
"I don't think I can come in the evening," I replied, feeling bad.
"Tutoring?" Sasha asked for clarification. I answered with a nod of yes.
"Maybe you could be with 'Mione," I added on.
"Nah, she's with Ron and Harry," Sasha glumly replied.
"Next week," I said, taking her hand. "Promise."
Sasha and I got to a small clothing shop. We spent time looking at dresses. Most of the prices were a bit beyond our range. Finding an actual dress was complicated. Blouses and nice shirts were cheaper.
"How about this blouse?" I asked Sasha, placing it against me. It was in the color of olive green and had bell sleeves.
"If you're a Slytherin," Sasha joked. "Kidding! It looks lovely! Hey, what do you think about this one for me?"
Sasha held up a blue shirt that was off the shoulder and was tight-fitted.
"I think that one is beautiful," I replied, in awe. "You have to get that one!"
Sasha and I were pleased with the choices we made. After paying for the tops at the register, we continued. Throughout the afternoon, we hurried in and out of various shops, purchasing candies, ice cream, and books. I must say, this was much more enjoyable than tutoring Draco. Draco...
"Sasha, what time is it?" I asked as panic filled me.
"I think it's almost seven," Sasha replied, and I gasped.
"I was supposed to meet up with Draco, now!"
I can say that I have never run this quickly before.
