Not completely sure on the layout of this possible AU yet, but what I do have, is that Scott is the King of the Sea, and Shelby is the daughter of a Pirate.
Scott loves to adventure out into the vast ocean whenever he can, but he always puts his people first. He didn't have that good of a relationship with his father when he was alive, but he has a good relationship with his mother.
Shelby also loves to adventure whenever she can. She finds it hard to talk to her father about how she doesn't want to be a pirate like he is, and would much rather be an adventurer like her mother was. She does get along with her father sometimes though.
The way Shelby and Scott would have met is through Scott exploring the ocean, and finding an old shipwreck on the ocean floor, and then getting himself stuck under some rubble inside the shipwreck. Shelby happened to also be swimming around (with a water breathing potion) and saw the shipwreck too, and that is where she found Scott and freed him.
That's all I have so far. This AU could be seen as an Afterlife x Deep End AU, as Scott is the Merling origin, and Shelby is in her Pirate outfit from Deep End SMP.

Shelby is a Fire Elf with wings, and yes, has fire powers (She has taken to calling her wings 'Phoenix wings' because of her Phoenix form, and since she doesn't know what shape her wings are. She thinks dove shaped, but she's not entirely sure.
