Chapter 14

"This is the most boring wedding I have ever attended"

Seokyung said to Mirae as the two stood together watching the bride, Cheon Seojin, walk towards them.

"Honestly I've been to boring ones"

Mirae shrugged her eyes still on the bride. Seokyung looked at her best friend as if she had gone crazy.

"I'm just saying I think something might happen that would make this wedding a little more exciting"

Mirae replied to the look Seokyung gave her.

"Let's see what happens. By the way, why isn't oppa back yet?"

Seokyung asked Mirae.

"I don't know, I don't even know where he is"

Mirae said taking a sip from the drink in her hand.

"Should we run out and leave this wedding?"

Seokyung asked Mirae as the two continued to look at Cheon Seojin greeting all the guests.

"The bride doesn't look happy at all, she looks sick"

Mirae observed aloud. Seokyung shrugged as if Mirae just stated the most obvious thing in the world. The two continued being bored while standing at a table. Unlike Mirae, Seokyung wasn't just standing but also glaring at people passing by and most importantly at the bride. Anyone there could see that Seokyung was not happy with the wedding. Finally it was time for Minhyuk's father or Mr. Lee to give speech. The man had just started speaking when his phone rang. After ending the call he announced something that sent a chill down Mirae's spine.

Suddenly the news had been turned on and all the headlines were regarding the murder of Bae Rona. Dr. Ha had been arrested for killing Bae Rona as it had been proven that he had bribed the janitor to confess that he had killed the girl. Mirae and Seokyung shared glances both completely surprised by this. Clearly Cheon Seojin was also surprised as she ran out of the hall tripping over the glasses of champagne as she ran by.

"You were right this wedding just got really interesting"

Seokyung said looking at Mirae who was still shocked by everything that just happened. Before she could reply to Seokyung, her phone dinged indicating she had gotten a message. Taking out her phone she was surprised to see there was a message from Seokhoon. The message shocked her way more though. The two words were enough for her to leave the wedding and run towards Eunbyeol's apartment.

She remembers.

Mirae ignored the calls she got from Seokyung as she ran towards the elevator. She knew what Seokhoon meant when he wrote the message. How Eunbyeol remembered, she had no idea nor did she care about that all she wanted to do right now is talk to the girl.

"Is she inside?"

Mirae asked Seokhoon, who was standing near Eunbyeol's apartment. Seokhoon nodded in response that was enough for Mirae to ring the bell and wait for someone to open the door.

Inside the apartment Eunbyeol was going crazy. She knew what she had done. She knew why Seokhoon was acting so close to her. Was it because he cared about Bae Rona or had he been doing all this for Kim Mirae? Whoever it was Eunbyeol hated both girls right now. On top of that her mother had decided to get married after sending Eunbyeol away. Ha Eunbyeol was a mess and upon hearing that Mirae and Seokhoon were outside she went even crazier.

"Don't let them in, please don't let them..."

Eunbyeol was trying to stop them from coming but it was too late. The two were already inside. Ha Eunbyeol had never seen Kim Mirae this mad. It seemed like she could kill someone and the way she was looking at Eunbyeol, Eunbyeol knew she was the one she wanted to kill.

"Ha Eunbyeol, you remember right?"

Mirae asked the trembling girl walking closer to her. The old Mirae would have probably felt sorry for Eunbyeol as a lot had happened to the girl in one night, her mother getting married, her father getting arrested, her memories coming back and all but Mirae had changed. She didn't see the trembling, frightened girl but instead saw Eunbyeol as a monster that had killed a girl the same age as her.

"What are you talking about? I don't remember anything, did I need to remember something?"

Eunbyeol stuttered. Mirae glared at the girl before grabbing her by the collar of her dress.

"You remember what you did that night don't you?"

"Let go of me! Seokhoon ah is this why you've been so good to me? Not because you liked me but for her? Both of you please leave."

Eunbyeol said getting out of Mirae's grasp and then running towards her room. Seokhoon looked at Mirae and the two left the apartment as well.

"She clearly remembers, I could see the fear in her eyes, but she won't confess that easily"

Mirae said to Seokhoon, running a hand through her hair, as the two walked towards the elevator.

"She won't"

Seokhoon agreed.

"Oh by the way, why did you go after her when you heard she was leaving? I mean you don't need to tell me if it's private I just..."

Mirae asked Seokhoon looking at her hands when Seokhoon interrupted her.

"I couldn't let her leave, you wanted her to remember everything, if she had left she would have never remembered anything"

Seokhoon replied. Mirae looked at him trying to ignore the warmth she felt and also trying not to smile. Now was not the time to go giddy over some words Seokhoon said.

"Did you hear about Dr. Ha?"

Mirae asked trying to change the topic, as the two entered the elevator.

"I was there, I brought Eunbyeol back remember?"

Seokhoon said with a smile on his face.

"Oh yeah sorry I forgot, I mean I didn't forget I just you know..."

Mirae continued to stutter. Why was she stuttering so much? This wasn't normal why was she nervous?

"Are you alright you seem nervous?"

Seokhoon asked concerned for her.

"Yeah I'm fine, oh look its my stop, I'll see you later then"

Mirae said before running out of the elevator and towards her apartment, Seokhoon smiled finding her cute at that time. Shaking his head he switched back to his usual demeanor.
