"I'm going to go visit Min Seol Ah with Rona today"
Mirae said to her mother during breakfast.
"That's nice"
Eun Sook replied smiling at Mirae. It hadn't been much long since the trial but things had gotten better for the twins and Mirae. Eun Sook and Suryeon had noticed the three looking more cheery and fresh than they usually looked. The two best friends had mentioned their observations to each other and they both came to the conclusion that presence of a mother is important. Other than the twins loosing their mother for a short time period, Mirae also got distant from her mother as Eun Sook was out almost all the time and came back really late at night. But now with both the adults back a significant change could be seen in the kids.
After changing into warm clothes Mirae headed out to go to Rona's apartment before heading to the place where Min Seol Ah was buried.
"You should move in with me"
Mirae said as she walked around the room while Rona wore her coat.
"Why?"
"I was just thinking it'd be fun and-"
"Mirae I'm not lonely, don't worry. I do miss her but she'll be back. If I stay here I can easily count the days and wait for her."
Rona smiled at the girl before going to put on her shoes.
"I mean-"
"Don't worry, I'll probably be spending all my time with you anyway"
Rona interrupted Mirae again before standing up. Mirae stopped trying to persuade her after that as the two girls started their journey. This wasn't Mirae's first time visiting Min Seol Ah; it might have been her hundredth time. Mirae visited Seol Ah almost every week. She'd sit down and just talk to her and tell her about everything that was happening in her life. She had a feeling Seol Ah could hear her which was the reason she always used to return back.
Mirae watched as Rona put the trophy she had won next to the grave. Mirae felt impressed as she watched the girl place the trophy. She knew it must have been a little hard to just leave the trophy she had almost given her life for, literally, at someone's grave keeping in mind the fact that she had never met the girl.
"What kind of person was she?"
Rona curiously asked Mirae knowing the girl was friends with Seol Ah.
"She was a cheerful girl, no matter how hard her life was she always had a smile on her face, she was patient...yeah she was a nice girl"
Mirae smiled as many memories with Seol Ah went through her mind.
"This worlds a cruel place, hopefully she's in a better place now"
Mirae continued as she glanced at Rona briefly before turning back to Seol Ah. Rona silently agreed, the world was indeed an unjust and cruel place.
"So you guys also went to see Seol Ah?"
Mirae asked the twins as they told her about their trip to the graveyard today.
"Hmm I mean if she was alive she would have been kind of like our sister"
Seokyung said to her. The three were currently sitting in the community room. Seokhoon was sitting by the piano while the two girls were sitting on the sofa chatting with each other.
"I'm glad Cheon Seojin is gone"
Seokyung finally spoke out her true feelings.
"I'm sure you are"
Mirae said leaning back as Seokyung started talking about how much she hated that woman.
"You know I met her and talked about a specific incident, the look on her face was priceless. One point Seokyung, zero point Cheon Seojin"
Seokyung said with a smirk on her face. Mirae looked at Seokyung contemplating on how to reply to this remark luckily Seokhoon saved her.
"What incident?"
He asked looking at the two girls curiously.
"Nothing oppa"
Seokyung smiled sweetly at him.
"Now I want to know it even more"
Seokhoon continued.
"I should go bring something to eat"
Seokyung said standing up and leaving the room to avoid the question. Mirae shook her head with a small smile on her face, thinking how she needed up choosing Seokyung as her best friend. The sound of music pulled her out of her thoughts.
"That sounds nice. What are you playing?"
Mirae asked Seokhoon standing up and walking towards the piano.
"Just something I learned recently"
Seokhoon answered as he continued playing the melodic tune.
"You have to teach me this it sounds amazing, I'm sure eomma would like it. Rona would like it as well"
Mirae said thinking about playing the song for her mother and Rona and guessing how they would react.
"Can I ask you something?"
Seokhoon suddenly stopped playing and asked.
"Hmm sure"
Mirae replied looking at Seokhoon not noticing how nervous he was and how he was fidgeting with his fingers underneath the piano.
"You want to go have something to eat with me?"
Seokhoon slowly asked looking at Mirae expectantly.
"Sure, I'm sure Seokyung has a lot of places she..."
"No just you and me"
Seokhoon interrupted Mirae.
"Just you and me?"
Mirae repeated looking at Seokhoon who slowly nodded his head still waiting for Mirae's answer.
The two had gone out alone multiple times so what was different this time? Why did Mirae seem to be at loss for words? Why did she feel a thousand butterflies fluttering in her stomach? Should she say yes? Should she say no? Her mind didn't seem to be making a decision; it was as if it was completely blank. But then why did she feel her head move up and down when she hadn't decided anything?
"I'd like that"
Mirae replied ignoring the blush that was dusting her cheeks. Seokhoon smiled, a smile that made Mirae reach cloud 9. What was this feeling and why did Mirae want to feel it often? All Mirae wanted to do was giggle in her pillow while kicking her legs around like a little girl.
Thanks to Seokyung, who entered the room, the little moment was over but that didn't mean Mirae could also stop thinking about what would happen when the to go out together.
