Chapter 7

"Seokyung apologized to us"

Mirae heard Rona say on the other end of the phone.

"I'm glad"

Mirae replied sighing with relief.

"She even got on her knees, I'm guessing she really wants to take part in the competition"

Rona continued.

"She does and there are many reasons for that"

Mirae said picking up her school bag to head to school.

"Hmm, well see you at school then"

Rona said. Mirae cut the call once the two said good-bye to each other. Before heading to school, Mirae went to her mother's room to see if she was awake. Mirae was really worried for her mother. Ever since Shim Suryeon was murdered, Eun Sook hadn't taken a break. She was continuously working. It was great for the company, with more designs coming in almost everyday but Mirae could see her mother wasn't fine. She was working hard to avoid the emptiness and sadness she felt. Mirae left her mother's room when she saw that she was still asleep. She guessed the best she could do was make sure that her mother didn't overwork herself much. Mirae knew her mother was doing something with the help of Oh Yoon Hee and maybe Logan. She believed it was to find the real killer and Mirae completely understood that but a selfish part of her didn't want her mother to involve herself in these matters anymore. Mirae was scared that if her mother continued to involve herself with these people something might happen to her and Mirae couldn't bear that. Her mother was the only family she had, she couldn't imagine life without her or in other words she didn't want to imagine life without her. Mirae just hoped all this ends sooner or later before things get too messy.

Mirae was walking towards her class when suddenly Eunbyeol came in front of her.

"Everything alright Ha Eunbyeol?"

Mirae asked noticing the glare on her face. Instead of replying Eunbyeol simply grabbed her hand and pulled her outside.

"Yah Ha Eunbyeol, what's wrong with you?"

Mirae said getting her hand out of Eunbyeol's grasp.

"Stay away from Seokhoon"

Eunbyeol said as she continued glaring at Mirae.

"What do you mean by that? Why would I stay away from him?"

"Did you know Seokhoon and I are dating? We're both in love. So don't you dare come between us"

Eunbyeol continued to shout at Mirae whose eyes widened with surprise.

"You and Seokhoon are dating?"

Mirae asked. To Eunbyeol it sounded more as if she was mocking her, which angered her more.

"Yes we are and if I hear one more time that you're getting to close to him, I'll make your life a living hell"

Eunbyeol said to Mirae angrily.

"Ha Eunbyeol, listen to me carefully. I'm not scared of you; you can do anything you want I won't stop talking to Seokhoon just because you said so. You saying this just makes me want to get more closer to him just to annoy you and so that you can see that your words have no affect whatsoever on me"

Mirae said to Eunbyeol in a low dangerous tone before walking away leaving the frustrated girl behind. Eunbyeol was never one of Mirae's close friends but she did see her as a friend but somehow Eunbyeol seemed to ruin that for her as well.

"Joo Seokyung what did you say to Eunbyeol?"

Mirae asked Seokyung as the two headed home after school.
