"You know it's a date"

Rona said to Mirae who had been denying that Seokhoon had asked her out on a date.

"We're just hanging out together, it's not a date"

Mirae said as she put on a locket that went with her outfit.

"Then why are you dressing up like it's a date?"

"I always dress up like this!"

"Yeah with those cute clips in your hair and the subtle but pretty jewelry, nope never seen Mirae dressed like this"

Rona said looking at Mirae through the mirror.

"Bae Rona you...I need to go"

Mirae tried to say something but stopped when she saw the look on Rona's face, which clearly showed she knew what Mirae, was about to say.

"Well have fun and tell me how it went later"

Rona said to Mirae as the girl walked out of her room shaking her head. Saying Mirae was nervous right now was an understatement. Maybe that's why she was trying to tell herself it wasn't a date. But what if it was? Mirae was really confused; Seokhoon hadn't said much except told her the time and place to meet so she didn't know what to expect from today.

"Hi"

Mirae said as she spotted Seokhoon leaning next to his motorbike. Seokhoon smiled at her.

"You look pretty"

He said handing her her helmet.

"Thank you"

Mirae said with a wide smile on her face. Seokhoon noticed how a small compliment made her smile so widely. After noticing this he promised himself that he'd compliment her more just so he could see her radiant smile all the time.

"Seokhoon ah is this a date?"

Mirae finally asked the question she had wanted to ask forever but couldn't muster the courage for it, as the two were on their way.

"Do you want it to be?"

Seokhoon asked the girl. Mirae was glad that Seokhoon wasn't facing her instead of the road because she was clearly shocked and flustered by his response.

"You asked me out, shouldn't you be deciding what it is?"

Mirae said quietly but loud enough for Seokhoon to hear whose face broke out in a smile.

"Well I guess it's a date then"

Seokhoon replied to Mirae and she knew this wasn't the last time she'd feel giddy over what Seokhoon says.

The two had been quite since the arrived at the restaurant till they gave their order and were still sitting in silence even after the waiter left.

"So I heard you went shopping with Seokyung recently what did you get?"

This question was enough to get rid of the awkwardness as Mirae started chatting about her trip to the mall with Seokyung. Seokhoon smiled as the girl described each and every detail of her trip. Even after the descriptive description of her trip was over they continued to talk just like before, Mirae completely forgetting her nervousness and having the time of her life.

After they were done with their meal, Seokhoon proposed the idea of going to their spot, which was the bank of Han River, Mirae readily agreed, excited to see what would happen next. She was having a great time and didn't want the date to end.

"The amount of times we've been here in the past few years"

Mirae said as the two walked to sit on a nice spot.

"We have been here a lot"

Seokhoon agreed as the two sat down. The two sat in silence for sometime before Mirae, being he curious person she was, asked another question.

"Can I ask you something?"

"You already did"

"No another thing."

"Hmm?"

"Why did you ask me out like on like this all...like on a date?"

Mirae stuttered.

"Why does one ask another on a date?"

Seokhoon asked Mirae looking at her, eyebrows raised.

"Ummm because they like the person"

Mirae said.

"Exactly!"

"So does that mean you like me?"

Mirae wasn't assured yet. To her this sounded unbelievable. She knew she had feelings for him but finding out that he shared the same feelings made her feel ecstatic but at the same time a little worried that he was playing with her. Seokhoon looked at Mirae for a little while before leaning in and quickly pecking her cheeks.

"I hope this answers your question"

Seokhoon said before looking away from Mirae to hide his red face. Mirae was on Cloud nine and maybe she was high on happiness and it made her say stupid stuff but for some reason she had the courage to blurt out something she could never imagine she ever could.

"You missed"

"Huh what did I miss?"

"You missed here"

Mirae said pointing towards her lips. As soon as the words left her mouth she felt embarrassed and looked away hoping Seokhoon doesn't think she was crazy. She didn't expect Seokhoon to softly turn her face toward him and leave a soft and delicate kiss on her lips thus leaving her completely flustered. Mirae was too flustered herself to notice how red Seokhoon was. The two teenagers were too lost in their own giddiness to notice the other as they sat looking at the calm river ahead.

Yep definitely the best day of my life Mirae thought to herself as she tried to stop herself from squealing loudly out of glee.
