Chapter 16 : The Sick Brahmin

Bheem is pacing in the chamber worried. They convinced everyone to eat but Draupadi and Shrutakarma aren't eating even a morsel. Both are equally stubborn.

"Bhrata Arjun, your son is exactly like you," Nakul compliments.

"Because he is my son," Arjun proudly declared.

"This isnt something to be proud of, Arjun. He is starving his mother as well," Yudhisthir's stern voice made Arjun gulp.

"What do you want us to do, Jyest? We can't order them in this beautiful state we are in. If we were in Indraprastha, things would have been different," Sahadev groans.

"Pitashree," Suthanu enters their chamber.

Pandavas heart filled with joy hearing her. Arjun smiled and opened his arms for her to embrace. Suthanu grinned and jumped in his arms. Arjun twirled her around making her giggle.

"Pitashree, why haven't you eaten yet?" Suthanu asks.

"Putri, you mother hasn't eaten a grain in the last three days. How can we eat?" Bheem caresses her hair lovingly.

"That's your problem with mata. I won't let my fathers stay hungry at all," Suthanu claps her hands and maids came inside with foods prepared.

"I prepared foods which you all like. For Pitashree Yudhisthir, I prepared more simple meals with rice. For Pitashree Bheem I prepared a lot of sweets. For Pitashree Arjun foods are a bit more spicy. For Pitashree Nakul there's less oily foods and Pitashree Sahadev foods don't have a lot of spices," Suthanu served them foods.

"How do you know, Putri?" Yudhisthir asks surprised.

"I asked Mata. I wrote it down though. She said so much I couldn't remember it all," Suthanu groans.

Pandavas looked at each other. They doubted even their mother knows their tastes as much as Draupadi.

"Why aren't you all eating?" Suthanu asks.

Pandavas were unwilling to eat but couldn't say that to Suthanu. She went through so much to prepare foods for them.

"Let me feed you," Suthanu made a morsel and hold Infront of Yudhisthir.

Yudhisthir's heart was filled with warmth. Suthanu has the same affectionat, warm eyes as Draupadi. When he would be too busy with paperworks and won't have time to eat, Panchali used to feed him like this too. Aside his mother Draupadi was the only person who gave Yudhisthir a shoulder to cry.

Suthanu feed everyone of them. Lastly was Bheem. Upon giving him a morsel Suthanu waited.

"What is it?" Bheem asks noticing her curious and awaiting gaze.

"You didn't burf," Suthanu exclaims

"Seems like that tiny morsel didn't satisfy my stomach," Bheem jokes.

"But Mata said you would burf when she fed you," Suthanu wonders.

Arjun chocked on his water and began to cough loudly. Suthanu hurried to his side rubbing his back worriedly.

Bheem sat there his face all red from embarrassment. He felt his brothers gaze at him. They are staring at him intensely.

"Bhrata Bheem, you never told us you made Panchali fed you. And you hunger was satisfied?" Sahadev asks.

"Of course I won't tell you what happens between me and my wife, you idiot," Bheem scolds Sahadev who pouted.

"Honestly, Bhrata Bheem you hunger was satisfied?" Nakul asks next.

Bheem wanted to run away from that place. Why are they enquiring about his private life with Panchali like this? Why is he being questioned? It should be Krishna here not him.
