Chapter 15
Healing

I regained my consciousness, my mind is foggy and my are eyes sore. The stinging being an instant reminder of yesterday's events and where I am.

I'm home.

I have mixed feelings about being back home, the main reason I wanted to come back in the first place was because I began to feel guilty of disobeying my mother and father like I did, but sadly my reason for my return was completely different. Being back just feels normal, like I never left in the first place and I'm not quite sure how to feel about that right now.

"Räya are you awake?" I heard Tsireya's voice whisper beside me. I subtly opened my eyes "yeah" I replied my voice barely above a whisper. "Mother and father have told me to inform you that they would like you to straighten yourself out and come to the clan dinner were having tonight".
"But I have only just returned home" I said feeling disappointed in the fact that I actually thought my parents would care more for my wellbeing. "I know that, but you know we can not afford to not do as they ask, you have been gone for four weeks Räya and left without permission I really think you should do as they say" Tsireya said softly.
"I know, I know" I said defeatedly knowing that she was right.

I sat up and looked around me. Tsireya was sat by my feet, and then she moved towards me embracing me in a hug I didn't know I needed. I had cried too much already so no more tears fell from my eyes but my body and mind felt numb.

Tsireya pulled away from the hug a genuine smile displayed on her face. "Come on let's sort you out" she said gently.

After I got up Tsireya helped me tidy up my appearance. "I do have to ask" Tsireya started speaking I hummed letting her know I was paying attention, "what made you go?, like how do I put this... what was that one thing that made you make up your mind?".

"wellll" I hesitatingly started my shortened explanation.

"Long story short, that time when mother came into the pod before I left she was telling me how I should behave and that I should stop talking to Lo'ak, she also mentioned that I am promised to be mated with another when I become the appropriate age. I honestly just think I wanted to get away from the control."

Tsireya was silently listening to me as I spoke after I had stopped, she finished up my braids placing her hands on both of my shoulders she turned my body to face her. "You are your own navi Räya, mother and father will always have their own opinions on things ,and I know being a clan leader's daughter can be tough but you also know just as much as me that we really do have to do as they say even if that means becoming mated to someone that we don't want to or if it means to stop talking to a certain boy...." she looked sympathetically at me as I silently cried at her words.She embraced me for the second time this morning whispering into my ear " I'm sorry I can't protect you or do anything to help you in this situation but" she pulls away from the hug bringing her left hand up to wipe away my tears "I am here if you need to vent to someone, no need to go running off to the forest again, ok?".I nod.

We had some time to kill before the clan dinner Tsireya told me about so we decided to spend that time swimming in the ocean, neither too close to home nor to far. We did stunts whilst diving in and out of the water with our ilu's and collected a few shells as well as various other activities.

Although I only arrived home not even a day ago, but something about spending quality time with my big sister makes me feel as though I am slowly healing.

Sorry that it's a short chapter today!

I wanted to quickly say that my updating schedule has not been the best and I apologise for that and as of right now I am going to start updating when and as I can, yet again I'm sorry I am not the best at this I hope you continue to stick with me and my terrible updates 😂
