Devi had been pretty busy all morning in the principals office. She had accused Margot of vandalizing her car even when Maria had told her not to. It's currently lunch and the girls are sitting in the lounge area.
"I can't go on the new York trip because I have to pay to fix my car" all the girls groan and a collection of 'no's' are heard through the three.
"It's gonna cost me all the money I earned this summer in my mom's office, do you know how many disgusting skin conditions I had to see?!" Devi sinks into the couch in defeat.
"I saw a nostril cyst get landed for nothing" fabiola decides to speak up.
"Can't you just leave stupid bitch on there?" Her eyes widen in a wave a realisation.
"Or is that something an enabler of toxic masculinity would say?" Maria's eyebrows furrow in confusion.
"Won't your mom spot you?" Elanor asked hopefully.
"Not this time apparently" Maria spoke.
"It's just that every single thing I hoped for senior year has been completely ruined by Margot" Maria sighs.
"I told you not to jump to conclusions!" Maria was slightly agitated by her friends behavior. Devi looks at her with sorrow.
"I'm sorry it must be so hard fo- yummy" elanor looks over at someone. Maria turns her head slightly and immediately turns back around after spotting Ethan Morales.
"Ladies, I am officially moving on from trent"
"Wait you broke up with trent?" Maria seemed even more mad by the second.
"He wanted to break up with me" elanor exclaimed in defence. Maria stood up.
"He was in love with you that's not possible"
"His words not mine and as Dua lipa said the best way to get over someone is to get over someone else!" Maria was over her friends words as she stormed away with a Huff. The girls and another pair of eyes watched her as she left.
As Maria was walking away a hand gently grabbed her upper arm. She turns around to be met with the golden brown eyes she had gazed upon in her dream.
"Hey Maria, you ok?" He smiled with his big white charming teeth. Maria nods also smiling to lighten her mood.
"Never better" he sighs at her reply.
"That's good, wanna sit next to me in Spanish? Maybe even on my lap and I can whisper sweet Spanish nothings into your ear" Maria felt her ears go pink as he says this. Where did the innocent Ethan she knew go?
"I think I'd get in trouble for that but thanks for the offer, I'll sit next to you though" Ethan chuckles and smiles.
"Good, let's go"

They're sitting in Spanish class, Eleanor and Devi sat at the front, Ethan sitting behind Devi and her sitting behind Eleanor. Eleanor turns around and passes a note to Maria.
I'm so sorry Maria, I truly didn't want it to be over either but he just broke up with me. I don't wanna lose another important person in my life :(
Maria smiles at her words and wrote back, passing it to her over her shoulder.
Alright, it's okay I guess. Feelings aren't always forever :)
Eleanor turns around and smiles before her attention was drawn back to the teacher.
"Ethan, would you like to write the pets you have on the board?" The teacher asked in Spanish. Ethan pouts and looks at Maria before turning to face the teacher. He had spread his legs slightly and had one elbow rested on the chair.
"Nah im good" a smug smirk was left on his lips.
"Just write your pets on the board" she asked again in english. He looked over at Maria whom gave him a stern look before he sighed and stood up, walking to the board. Eleanor was staring at him as if he was a chunk of meat and she was the tiger.
"I can't wait to crack him open like a creaky cellar door and explore the hidden treasures within" Eleanor smirks as devi's face twisted in disgust.
"I don't think is there's much going on below the surface..." Devi points out. Maria starts laughing and the teacher soon turns to hush her.
"Think again...the boys got turtles" Eleanor stares him down again. Maria looks at the board before noticing the placement of the boys t's. They're exactly the same as how they're written on devi's car. Maria's expression dropped. Devi turned around to Ethan as he sat back down at his desk.
"Heyyyy Ethan, you didn't happen to write stupid bitch on my car did you?" Ethan's face lightened as if he had figured out what she was talking about.
"Ohhh shit that was your car? I thought it was Señora Diaz's car, she gave me an f on the worksheet...stuid bitch" maria gritted her teeth, clearly angry at this boy. The teacher heard his language.
"Ethan, in espanõl please" Ethan looked at her.
"Sorry...perra estúpida" Maria decided to speak up.
"The only estúpida in this room is you Ethan, I can't believe this" she turns to face the front again before she completely hands his ass to him.

After class both Devi and Maria were livid. They spotted the boys, angrily stomping up to them. Maria took Ethan's skateboard out from underneath him.
"Yo dickward!" Devi yelled, Maria still holding onto his skateboard.
"What the fuc-" he was cut off by a raging Maria.
"I'm gonna hold onto this until you fix her car, needed a new skateboard anyway" she inspects the skateboard carefully.
"So? I have like four of those at home, you can keep it gorgeous" Ethan winked at Maria causing her to scoff and roll her eyes.
"Then I'll beat you to death with this one" Maria Brings the skateboard up as if she were going to bring it down on his head.
"You can't go around and mess with other peoples stuff!" Devi exclaims.
"Jeez I am so sorry" Ethan sarcastically exclaims. This only riles Maria up more.
"Yeah you will be sorry if you don't get her car fixed" Maria retorted.
"And it better sparkle, sweetheart" Devi pitched in.
"You sound like one of the sopranos" one of Ethan's friends spoke up, he must be feeling pretty confident.
"They call me crazy Devi for a reason" she leans in close.
"Wanna find out why?" The boy winced and stood back, clearly frightened.
"No." Maria looks to Ethan, walking close to him.
"Fix her car, punk" she nudges his shoulder as she walks past, her hand still clutched onto the skateboard. The girls walked past a familiar person.
"Hey Paxton" Maria spoke, casually strolling past. She stopped in her tracks and turned around.
"Wait, paxton?" Devi asked, turning around as well.
