Hi there😍 I realized my mistake and if you guys don't read comments then I'll tell you. I honestly thought the guy group was called the hot topic but apparently not so let's just put that behind us and just say that they're the off brand hot pocket. Anyway enjoy this chapter ty for reading🤭
The college fair. The day where it was Maria's time to shine. For years her goals had been set on going to Harvard. She may not look like a bright kid on the outside, but she wasn't a part of the 'unfuckable nerds' for no reason. She approached her locker wearing a very formal outfit, she had even styled her hair.
(The fit)
She was prepared to show these colleges where she's meant to be. As Maria was standing at her locker, she heard a whistle from behind her.
"Didn't know you clean up this nice" she turned to see Ethan with a giant smirk plastered to his handsome face. Maria scoffed, rolling her eyes.
"Well I don't think they're gonna accept a girl who doesn't know how to represent herself, I'm not talking any chances" Ethan clicked his tongue.
"Well if you need help adjusting your shirt later, I'm always around to help" Ethan winks as Maria fake gags.
"No thanks, I'm very, very good" Maria walks past Ethan and into the centre of the college fair. She met up with Devi, fab and El. They exchanged greetings before talking about the colleges.
"Fit check? Zit check?" Devi asks pointing to her face and outfit. Maria shakes her head no.
"All good my fellow sexy business woman" the girls giggle, looking at someone whom happened to be behind Maria.
"Someone else thinks you're sexy too" Maria then looks to where Eleanor had pointed, spotting none other than Ethan Morales. He winked at her, causing her to roll her eyes and turn back to the girls.
"Whatever, I need to take a walk before this, calm my nerves a little" the girls agree and Maria dispersed from the group, walking down the hallway.

With Paxton.Paxton felt hurt over what happened the other day with the hot topic. He felt as if his royalty was slipping, Maria's words unable to help the hurt he felt in his heart. He walks up to the young teacher he met when he started. Her name was Lindsay and she was very enthusiastic about teaching the young minds.
"Hey, think I'm working on snack duty with you?" Paxton asked curiously, pointing to the array of snacks laid out on the table for the students to buy.
"I see that you also got snubbed from the faculty trip to margartiaville?" Paxton's face twisted in confusion.
"Wait, what trip?" Lindsay nodded at his confusion.
"Yeah, the rest of the teachers are out day drinking while we chaperone this mayhem, so congratulations on officially being real low status!" Lindsay exclaimed sarcastically.
"Uh speak for yourself, I'm not low status" Paxton stated causing Lindsay to hum.
"You're an assistant swim coach. I wouldn't call that a top-tier position"
"So what you're a substitute" paxton retorted, clearly getting annoyed. This goes unnoticed by Lindsay.
"Yeah, I'm admitting that I'm the bottom of the barrel" she looked up to see Paxton's annoyed expression.
"Oh, I'm sorry dude. Didn't mean to hit a nerve or anything. I'm just making conversation, you know, at the saddest snack table in the world" she admitted, soon realising her mistake.
"It didn't hit a nerve. It's totally chill" Paxton spoke confidently on the outside, however on the inside he felt a pang of insecurity. Just as he thought his career couldn't get any worse, a teenage boy from the hot topic came waltzing over.
"Hey, guess what. I uh, just talked to the ASU rep for like... Five seconds so I basically went through as long as you did" the boys smiled, feeling a sense of superiority.
"Hey that's real funny bro" Paxton felt as if his heart had been walked all over, that was until a familiar well dressed figure walked up behind the boy.
"Yeah, so funny. I'm laughing my ass off over here" Maria smiled at the boy. She placed a hand on his shoulder and he nervously laughed.
"Hey uh, you remember crazy devi, right?" The boy nodded, unwilling to speak. Maria nodded and kissed her teeth.
"Yeah well I'm her best friend and trust me amigo, you don't wanna mess with me either" she spoke ever so calmly over his shoulder. The boy gulped in fear.
"Now if you don't wanna get hurt, get your chips and go, and if I hear you talking down on paxton ever again... Well you don't wanna find out what I'm gonna do and it's gonna make you piss more than your pants" Maria gave him a friendly smile. Paxton handed him his chips and he gave Paxton the money in return. The boy quickly paced away from Maria as she turned to watch him. She then faced Paxton and Lindsay before smirking at their bewildered faces.
"Hey Pax, you ok?" Paxton nodded.
"Yeah, thanks for uhm... That. I can handle myself you know" Maria hummed.
"Yeah you handled that real well didn't ya?" Maria's eyes glanced to the beautiful woman whom sat next to Paxton.
"Excuse my behavior, I don't think we've met before, what do you teach?" Maria held out a hand for Lindsay to shake, whom graciously accepted with a beautiful smile on her face.
"I'm actually a substitute, call me Lindsay" Maria smiled.
"Well it was nice to meet you Lindsay, I'm maria" Lindsay nodded.
"You look a little too formal to be a high school student" Maria grinned at her polite comment.
"Well you can never be too prepared, I'm just a casual schoolgirl chasing my dreams of getting into my dream college" Maria giggled.
"Well thanks again Maria but if you stay and talk any longer I don't think you'll even get to apply" Paxton smiled, causing Maria to give him a look.
"Alright, bye Pax, bye Lindsay. Before I go I just wanna thank you guys for calming my nerves. This really helped" they all collectively shared one more laugh before Maria walked off to go to the moment she's been waiting for.
