On her way to class, Maria caught sight of Paxton, someone she didn't wanna see. Unfortunately he must've seen her, starting to call out her name. She gave in with a sigh before dawdling over to him
"Hey Maria,how are you going?" Maria gave him a sarcastic smile. She was totally fine seeing him wearing one of the swimming staff shirts. She had always been on the swimming team and when her and Paxton got together they trained together. She really wanted to forget those memories, however that kind of thing sticks.
"I'm doing fine, so you're working here now?" Maria was hoping, begging and praying that he'd say no, considering he knew when she practiced after school.
"Yup, better get used to seeing my face around more often" Maria fake smiles, trying her Absolute hardest not to throw up.
"It'll be like you never left" she playfully punches his shoulder and giggles. They both laugh together, him not being able to cast his eyes away from the beauty that stood before him.
"I'm gonna be the assistant swim coach, so I'll see you around often" Maria's fake laughter was cut short when she heard this.
"Oh, what about ASU?" Paxton shakes his head.
"Oh yeah, uh it didn't work out, just wasn't the right place for me" he shrugs.
"Well, college isn't for everyone...I guess I'll see you around" she wanted to get out of there. Fast.
"See ya Maria" he winks, walking away. She sighs in relief as he leaves. She walks over to the lunch table to see Devi and fabiola talking while Eleanor was staring at the group of hot topics in awe. She looked really thirsty.
"You need some water there el?" Maria sat in the chair next to her, she remained in her daze.
"No thanks, we're watching to see if Ethan takes off his hoodie cause you know it's gonna cling and pull up his T-shirt" Maria rolled her eyes, yet she decided to watch anyway. The other girls had made up excuses not to watch him.
"Oh it's happening!" Her and Maria watch as he takes off his hoodie, his toned torso peaking out slightly. Eleanor watches completely starstruck, Maria's jaw dropped slightly. Ethan noticed her among the tables and decided to send her a wink. He grabbed his hoodie, making his way over. Maria realized what was going down and she frantically pointed at Eleanor mouthing 'give it to her' causing Eleanor to flash her a confused glance. As Ethan approached them, Eleanor sat up in her chair, making herself more presentable whereas Maria did the opposite and sunk into her chair.
"Hey Maria, figured you'd want this, consider it an apology hoodie" Maria groaned.
"I can smell the weed from here, what makes you think I'd want it? If anything, give it to Eleanor. Maybe you two should go out on a date?" Eleanor smiles at her friend for suggesting the date.
"Maybe, she's pretty cute" Maria does what she does best, which is put on a fake smile.
"Good, what time suits you el?" Eleanor shrugs.
"Maybe Friday? I'm free then" Ethan hums.
"Sure, id like that Ellen" he clicks his fingers and starts walking away. Maria scoffs at him for forgetting her name Already.
"It's Eleanor dipshit! Remember that before you get yourself a free circumcision!" Maria's head rolls back on the chair, looking at him over her shoulder. Ethan smirks and motions her to follow him. She sighs before standing up.
"Guys I just gotta go to the bathroom real quick" they dismiss her and she heads the way that he went. As she walked past the janitors closet, a hand dragged her inside. The light flickered on revealing the person she dreaded on seeing again.
"What so you want?" He pulls her in closer before whispering.
"You... Your body is just so sexy and irresistible, I just wanna make you mine. I don't wanna be anyone else's but yours" she blushes at his statement.
"I can't Ethan, not because I don't think your attractive but because of Eleanor, she really likes you man" she tries to get out of his grasp, causing him to tighten it on her.
"Ethan what are you-" she had been cut off by a pair of soft lips landing their way on hers. She wanted it so bad, but she had to refuse. She pushed at his chest before they pulled apart.
"I can't, I'm already a bad enough friend. I don't need any drama especially from my best friend" he shrugs.
"Fine, I'll play your sharade, but just so you know you're such a good kisser, it's so hot when you play hard to get. Makes me want you even more" he gives her a quick kiss before he lets her go.
"Please just go on a date with her, I beg" she gave him a pout, making his bad boy demeanour crumble.
"Whatever" she hums in approval before peeking out of the janitors door, checking for any students to pass. She then exits when the coast is clear, walking out back to her friends. As she sits down, Ethan comes out after a few minutes.
"Hey uh, I forgot to mention we can't have a date this Friday...i uh sorta planned a party. You guys are totally free to come if you want" the girls nod, except for Maria whim gave him a death stare instead.
"Maria will come too, right maria?" Devi glanced at her. She groaned.
"Fine" the girls squealed.
"Great, I'll see you there" Ethan winked at Maria before he walked off.
