While I'm in my room along with my crew playing on the Xbox against my friend Bray I catch some bits and pieces of the conversation that's going on behind me.
When Tee mentions Hazes name in his conversation with Ark, I drop the controller that I was holding down on the coffee table in front of me giving him my full rapt undivided attention.
"Dude you just got my ass killed." Complained Bray, I just waved my hand over at him wanting him to shut the fuck up already while I try to listen in.
"I ask her out this morning and she said yes. Now where should I take her? Because I haven't got a damn clue about what she likes." Tee questions Ark with uncertainty.
"How about a movie and dinner? Girls tend to like that stuff." Ark suggest as I snort out at them both.
They both turn to me looking on at me inquisitively.
"That stuff is old school man you need to do something with her that will knock her off of her feet." I toss out as I slide off of my sofa to edge my way over to them.
As we stand in my kitchen with Tee sitting on my kitchen island stool and Ark heating up a left over slice of pizza in the microwave before him, I sit down on the remaining stool right beside Tee.
"Why don't you try something romantic with her? Like, maybe a picnic on the South Berry hill? Or you could take her skating at the local roller rink? Maybe even take her to play some mini golf with you but don't do a simple movie and dinner. That shit went out in the nineties." I remark stoically.
"All of that shit sounds pretty ass lame to me. Why don't you just take her to the zoo man. Girls love all of those little baby animals." Bran pipes in from the sofa. He had taken my place beside his brother Bray on the sofa to play the game.
"What about you Bray? Where do you think that Tee should take her?" I try to get him involved. Bray is just too shy for his own damn good. He needs to learn to speak up when it's warranted and I basically would love to hear his opinion on Tees and Hazes date.
"I'd take her on that hot air balloon ride that they are hosting for the children hospital fundraiser. Then I'd take her to see the ocean at sunset." I have to give it to Bray the guy is an undercover genius. Why the hell didn't I think of that?
"That's actually a great idea Bray. Why don't you take her to that Tee?" Tee puckers up his bottom lip in concentration.
"Sounds good to me thanks Bray." Bray slightly blushes at Tees gratitude.
I silently pat myself on my back. I so want to break Bray out of his little shy shell. The guy really needs to open up more.
"So when are we all going to discuss or little problems with Haze?" Bran insists. The microwave dings behind Ark. Ark retrieves his pizza out of the microwave. The piping hot smell of pepperoni soon fills my entire room.
