Hearing Haze so excited over a simple date with us made my heartbeat quicken with intense anxiety.

How could we all be so unmindful of the smallest of details? Like taking her out on a simple date.

I tried to change her mind about going out to a small burger joint for our first date together but she was adamant about it being no big deal. As long as she was with us, she didn't mind that our first date was at a simplistic restaurant.

Begrudgingly, I let it slide, for now.

Later on I do plan on taking her out to some place a bit more fancier than this tiny mom and pop restaurant that we are currently in.

We had to get the biggest table in the restaurant that was available so that they could manage to fit all of us in.

Unfortunately, the table that we had to sit in, is in the center of the small
restaurant, where everyone of the occupants in the restaurant could see everything that we might do.

Torq is seated at one end of the large rectangular table with Ark directly seated to his right and Tee is off to his left.

My brother is seated right beside Tee with me seated directly beside Jay.

Haze ended up being seated at the other end of the table with Jay and Bran at each of her sides.

I catch myself sneaking small glimpses of her from out of the corner of my eye as I continue to chow down on my bacon cheeseburger and French fries.

The topic of conversation that's going on around me is centered mainly on our revenge plan for Stew tomorrow afternoon.

I momentarily block out the ongoing conversation surrounding me to concentrate on other more pivotal subjects.

One main subject that's been racing through my hectic mind repeatedly is that of my parents and their disownment of me.

I can't understand how they could be so closed minded over my relationship with my mate Jay.

When I told them all about Haze neither one of them had a single problem accepting her as my mate.

So why couldn't they just accept Jay as my second mate also?

Just because Jay is a male, or rather because of my bisexuality, my parents have basically just tossed me away like I meant absolutely nothing to them.

I thank the fates everyday that my brother chose to be on my side that day, instead of my parents side.

It would have killed me if he wasn't.

It's bad enough that I had to lose my parents because of their bigotry over what I am but to lose my twin brother also would have completely devastated me.

"Are you finished with your burger?" Jay asked me as he leaned down closer to me. I looked down at my plate and realized that I had only eaten only a small fraction of my burger.
