Onyx stood in Dareth's dojo, holding a box of lightbulbs and watching Lloyd try and light one up without causing it to explode. "Focus, Lloyd. Control the power inside you. When you feel a surge welling up, harness it," Jay said, placing a hand on Lloyd's shoulder. "I understand. I am in... control," Lloyd murmured with a strained groan as the lightbulb flickered to life. "You can do it, Lloyd," Onyx encouraged. Lloyd squeezed his eyes shut, the lightbulb glowing brighter.
Onyx held the box up in front of her face and squinted her eyes shut as the bulb grew unnaturally bright and started making a high-pitched whistle, knowing what was coming next. Sure enough, a few seconds later, the lightbulb exploded with a sharp pop. "Aargh! Stupid light bulb! You're putting too much pressure on me. Let me have one more try," he begged. Onyx reached into the box to grab another bulb, only to find it was empty. She flipped it upside down. "That's gonna be pretty hard without a lightbulb," she said. "Sorry, Lloyd," Kai said. Cole handed him a broom. "Here. Clean up. We'll continue training tomorrow," he said.
Onyx watched Lloyd start hitting a punching bag with the broom. She gingerly leapt over the piles of glass shards to get out of his way. He continued beating the bag with the broom until it bounced back and hit him in the head. "You dare defy the Green Ninja!?" He shouted at it, raising the broom above his head. "Lloyd, wait! That's the only broom we-" He brought it down on his knee, snapping it in half. From there, he lunged at the bag, hitting it head-on and falling facefirst onto the floor. "....have," Onyx sighed, picking up the two pieces. "Good luck sweeping with these," she said, dropping them next to him.
Onyx turned as Nya came into the room with a friendly greeting. "Hi, Nya," Onyx said, walking over to her and the others. "Hey, Jay. Uh... want to come by the autobody shop later?" She asked. "The autobody shop?" Jay asked. "Yeah. I got a part-time job. Thought I could fix up the Ultra Sonic Raider in my off time. Maybe if you come over, I can show you what I've been working on," Nya explained. Onyx gave an excited little leap. It would be nice to ride in the Raider again. "Uh, sure!" He said. Onyx held back a grin. 'Just get together already," she thought. Then she noticed a letter in Nya's hand.
"What's that?" Onyx asked, pointing. "Oh! This came for Lloyd," Nya said, handing it to Wu, who opened it and read the contents. "Hm. It's from Lloyd's old school," he said. "The Darkley School for Bad Boys?" Cole asked. "Formerly bad boys. Since the last time we were there, they've changed to the Darkley School for Great Children," Wu corrected. "Huh. What could they want?" Onyx mused. "It says here there's going to be a ceremony," he said. "I love ceremonies. That means there's going to be cake!" Cole said excitedly.
"Lloyd's change inspired them. Now they've invited Lloyd to give him an honorary degree in excellence," Wu said. Onyx glanced back at Lloyd, who was still lying on the floor. "Yeah, um... we're talking about the same Lloyd, right?" She asked.

The ninja flew through the sky, Lloyd, Jay, Zane, Cole, and Kai on the Ultra Dragon, and Onyx on Fade. "Whoo-hoo-hoo! Now that we can ride the Dragon, we should get to Darkley's in no time," Jay exclaimed. "If Lloyd can get us there in one piece," Kai said. Lloyd bit his lip nervously. "Just be gentle. Any sudden moves could cause him to-" Lloyd cut Cole off. "Any sudden what?" He shouted, yanking on the reigns. "Crap!" Onyx hissed as the Ultra Dragon roared in alarm and dove towards the ground. She zoomed after them, preparing to catch someone should the need arise.
"The reigns! Let go of the reigns!" Cole screamed. Lloyd obeyed, and the Ultra Dragon landed on the ground, shaking its heads in agitation. Onyx swept down and landed beside it. "Are you guys okay?" She asked. They all nodded shakily. "Hehe... at least I'm getting better," Lloyd said sheepishly. "All the same, I'll take the reigns going home. Just to be safe," Cole said, hurriedly sliding down to the ground, the others following suit.
The six walked along a stone pathway, under a sign that read 'Darkley's School for Great Children.' 'You know, I wonder who Darkley was, anyway,' Onyx thought as they walked. As they drew nearer to the school building, which looked decidedly cleaner and less menacing than last time, a young boy with messy dark hair turned away from a flowerbed. "Lloyd?" He asked incredulously. "Brad?" Lloyd returned. Brad ran up to Lloyd and hugged him. "You came! So good to see you," he said.
Lloyd raised an eyebrow. "It is? You put fire ants in my bed," he said. Onyx flinched at the thought of that. Brad coughed uncomfortably. "Please forgive me. I wasn't myself and have learned the error of my ways," he said. Then he glanced at Onyx and the others. "And you must be the ninja!" He exclaimed. "Um, guys, meet Brad Tutabone." Lloyd introduced them awkwardly. Onyx gave Brad a small wave. "Such a huge fan!" Brad marveled, shaking each of their hands. "Go good! Haha. Uh, please, will you not follow me to see the Principal?" He asked, leading the six into the building.
Inside was much nicer than it had been before, and there was no sign of the booby traps that had once been there. As they walked, Onyx noticed a suspicious lack of students. "Uh, shouldn't you all be in class?" Cole asked, voicing her thoughts. "Actually, today is a new Darkley School tradition: Ninja Day. We stay out of sight to honor the way of the ninja for showing us the light," Brad explained without missing a beat. Onyx cocked her head. An odd tradition, but then again, it did seem like it would be fun. "Huh. This is a good school. I'm impressed," Cole said.
Brad stopped outside of a closed door. "Principal Noble? Lloyd and the ninja are here for the ceremony," he said. "That and the cake. Do you know what kind it is, by the way?" Cole interjected, though he didn't get an answer. "I'll be with you in a moment," a husky voice said from within the office, the silhouette they could see through the door turning. "I should get back to the flowers," Brad said, running off. Oddly quickly, Onyx thought.
"Um, heh... has anyone seen a teacher yet?" Jay asked nervously. Zane shook his head. "Indeed. Their absence is most strange," he said. "Maybe they're with the other students?" Onyx suggested, though she wasn't quite able to get rid of the bad feeling in her stomach. "I'll see you now. Come in," the husky voice said. The six entered the office, but there was no principal. The only person inside was a skinny, redheaded boy with round glasses and a smattering of freckles on his pale face standing on a desk. "Welcome back, Lloyd," he said, a desk light flicking on to cast a sharp light on his face.
"Gene?" Lloyd exclaimed. Gene flung his arms out. "And welcome, ninja, to the Darkley's School for Worse Boys!" He exclaimed, using a pair of gardening shears to cut a rope next to him. Onyx gasped as something heavy hit her in the back of the head. She fell to the floor, slamming her chin and knocking her senseless.

And Finding Nemo is officially being performed! Also, my parents have taken away everyone's bedroom phone privileges, so updates will be rough for a while. I have some extra chapters written, so if I can catch a moment to myself I'll try to upload.
