Onyx and the Legacy of the Green Ninja

Rough Progress Outlook

Rebooted: I aim to finish this season by mid-February, as it is shorter.

Tournament of Elements: I had to create several new characters to make the gauntlets work (stupid math), so I'll hopefully finish this by the end of April.

Possession: I have some big plans for this season, so it'll probably be significantly longer. I aim to finish this by the end of July.

Skybound: Nadakhan is a creepy sex predator, and his creepy actions are even creepier in writing. I aim to finish this by the end of September.

Hands of Time: I hope to finish this by Christmas.

Day of the Departed: I want to finish this before 2025. It depends on how busy I am and if I meet the quota.

If I can meet this schedule, then we'll be able to start off 2025 with Sons of Garmadon and the trauma chain that sets off.

VERY TENTATIVE 2025 HOPES

Sons of Garmadon: I have plans. Really big plans. I might not finish this until March.

Hunted: I have even bigger plans, but since there's only one of Onyx, it might take less time than I estimated. I hope to finish it by May.

March of the Oni: It's short and more of a bookend to SoG/Hunted, so I hope to finish it by June.

Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitzu:
Fire Chapter: This chapter was a mess. I hope to finish it by July.
Ice Chapter: My GOD, do I have plans. I hope to finish it by mid-September.

Prime Empire: I hope to finish it by November.

Master of the Mountain: Screw time constraints, my obsessive brain will NOT let me have an unfinished season by January of 2026, so I will finish this by the end of December, so help me God.

Then we ought to be able to start off 2026 with The Island and all the struggle boat emotional problems that come with it.

EVEN MORE TENTATIVE 2026 SCHEDULE

The Island: This is short. Like, super short. I can probably get this done by mid-January.

Seabound: I haven't really planned this far ahead. It's really just a concept. I'll probably finish it by mid-March/April.

Crystallized: I want to make sure I do this season justice, so probably sometime in July.

(I might have a story during the little timeskip on how Onyx reawakens her power. I probably should do that, actually... *proceeds to go obsessively plan that out*)

Lego Ninjago Movie: I'll probably start publishing chapters of this sometime after Possession as a non-canon AU sort of thing. It won't be a main focus, but it'll be there for if anyone feels like it.

DRAGONS RISING
*Depending on how this show releases, I will probably split it up by certain arcs. This is incredibly hypothetical right now.

The Claws of Imperium: Do you like my name for this first arc? Anyway, it hasn't released completely yet, but it's longer and is back to having full-length episodes. So... maybe sometime in May??? Depending on how many episodes and all it actually winds up being.

DISCLAIMER: This is a rough calendar, and does not factor in emergency events like my parents discovering my account or if I die. Just know that if I ever vanish, it's either because my parents have taken my phone away or because I am dead. If it's the former, then God help me, I will be back even if it takes me until I'm eighteen. If it's the latter... then f—k.

I also realized that, if I follow this calendar, I'll be... like... seventeen or eighteen when I finish this series. I'll still be writing in college when I hit Dragons Rising. Hell, I might be married by then. I might have kids! Though with as much that babies cry... I might actually have more writing time then, haha! Wow. I've had Onyx in my head since I was five. She's been part of me and has helped me grow up. I'm fifteen now... geez. It's funny, how a fanfiction (granted, my most precious one) has helped me put my life in perspective.

EXTRA NOTE THINGY: I've been thinking about doing a prequel series that dives into early Ninjago and the origins of Onyx's element. After Webtoon14, a very kind reader, expressed interest, I decided that I'll write one.

Due to certain story elements in the Onyx and Ninjago series and how I prefer to write chapters, I won't publish that until I wrap up the Oni and Dragon Trilogy. Afterwards, I'll start working on it and try to have it as a separate work by the time I'm midway through Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitzu. Since I'll be building off of very, very vague lore, expounding upon characters with little to no defined personality, and basically inventing an entire story and cast of characters, it will require a LOT of planning.
