Cloud Halo, home to the Seemrada, was a beautiful city, high above the sky and settled in the clouds. Restaurants, schools, housing districts all resided here, as the community within thrived. The Seemrada were an unusual race, not exactly classed as cyborgs, but still part technology; they also seemed to unlock their Fliddy's from incredibly young ages, although rarely, a second will develop later in life, the only race to have this ability. Humans didn't often visit Cloud Halo, due to the gruelling journey to do so, meaning not many knew about this species.
"Mari, Bari! Dinner time!" A young Dari called, standing on a balcony of clouds and holding onto a door frame. Small figures, dressed in their usual colours, looked up from the cloudman they were creating and nodded. "Coming mama!" A small Mari called back, before grabbing her brother's hand and dragging him inside. Bari whined softly, before the light in his head flickered in excitement, seeing the large platters of food before them. "You guys look excited." Another robotic being appeared behind them, causing the children to jump and spin around, "PAPA!" Bari wrapped his arms around his father's leg.
Dari beeped happily, before tilting her head, "Hello honey, how was work?" She said, before taking a seat at the table, gesturing for the others to do the same. Dari's husband sat down at the other end of the table, setting a cloth over his lap. "It was work, some humans visited again though, they seem lovely, just like always." He said, before taking a long cord off the table and plugging it into the back of his head. "Humans? What are humans doing here again...? It's close to impossible to get onto Cloud Halo, yet they seem to be coming more and more often." Dari responded, doing the same, before helping her children plug in.
"Humans? Papa! I wanna meet them! We talk about them in school sometimes!" Mari said, resting her head on her hands as she gazed up at her father. With a laugh he shook his head, opening the small compartment where his jaw would be, before placing some meat inside, "My dear Mari, humans are wonderful, and so full of compassion and love, but my work is no place for a child." He said, before looking to Dari, "It seems like they have made flying ships, there were some outside the restaurant, huge motors, although not up to par with our technology of course." Mari listened carefully, hooked onto every word her father was saying.
"Hey, hey, hey Bari," Mari sang, swinging her legs under the table, "let's go play after dinner, okay?" Bari nodded, also nibbling on the food. Dari looked at her children, her eye blinking softly.
Later that evening, as Mari and Bari were busying themselves in the clouds outside, Dari watched from a window, holding a mug in her hands. "My love," strong arms wrapped around her back, "have I ever told you, how happy you make me? How happy our children make me?" Her husband spoke. "Havard..." Dari turned her head to look at him, her light flickering brightly, "I love you." She whispered, her hand brushing the side of his head.
"I wanna go visit the humans..." Mari whined, looking over at her brother. They were both sat on the edge of the clouds, swinging their legs. Bari laughed, leaning his head back so far that he fell, lying and looking up at the stars. "Papa likes them, so I will like them," he said, "I heard that they always help each other, like we do! But they take care of each other and look after each other always!" he continued, "I wish they would come visit more often, maybe I could be a translator!" Mari giggled, flopping backwards too, "And I'll cook for them too! I'll make... What do humans eat?" she thought to herself. "Uhmm... I don't know... They don't have our food down there; we could ask in school?" Bari responded.
Dari peeked around the door, almost yelling, but stopping as she admired her own children. "Mari, Bari, come inside, it's late." She gently called out, as they both looked back, before running over. Havard watched as they climbed into bed, "Papa...?" Mari asked, as she pulled the sheets over her shoulders, "Why do we do this every night? We already recharge at dinner..."
