Beep...Beep...Beep...Beep...
The murmuring of voices stirred Mari, who slowly turned on and looked around her. Through the blurry lens, she saw a pink blur, and a black blur. "I am afraid you can not treat her. No human is allowed to see A Seer's body." "Good thing I'm not a human, mew." A sigh soon followed, before a disgruntled huff. "I stand by what I said." "Then I'll do it blindfolded Bari! I'm a good doctor, I promise." "You can do it blindfolded? No way." "I can!"
Mari felt her system slowly switching off again, she felt weak. No sword had ever damaged her quite like the one Alex had stabbed through her stomach. Usually, they would just bounce right off her. That sword. Something about that sword intrigued her. Her thoughts, however, went blank, as she shut off once more, the light in the centre of her head going dark.
Being guided into the room, Kira held her hands out in front of her. A dark strip of fabric covered her eyes as she was stood beside Mari's body. She felt Bari leave her side, and a shuffling of fabric as Mari's robes were discarded. "I shall be your eyes, Miss Kira." He instructed, before the operation began.
"Mew, thank you." Kira said, smiling before reaching forward to feel Mari's stomach. She had never felt a texture quite like it before. Expecting human skin, or metal, she was met with a fusion of both. The skin cold, ice cold, slippery, but bumpy. Kira tried to map out an image of Mari's body in her head but could not even imagine what she was feeling.
"Our race, the Seemrada, are embedded with a special technology. It not only makes it so human eyes can not lay eyes on our bodies, but also that they will not remember what it looks like, even in your mind." Bari said, watching Kira carefully. "It all happened so suddenly, mew. Alex... coming back to life... stabbing Mari, when everyone is already wounded enough... mew." She grabbed a cloth, gently cleaning the wound.
"Speaking of, how is Alex?" Bari questioned, leaning over and guiding Kira's hands to the right place. The cat-girl nodded, "He's gonna live... The burns, mew, the burns are bad though... Mari really did a number on him..." she sighed, picking up a needle and threading it with ease, before sewing up the wound. "He needs to eat when he wakes up, he'll be really weak, mew." Bari hummed. "That could be a problem. We do not have too much food here. I did have an idea though, but it would be best to share it with the group together."
Soon, Mari's surgery had been completed, and Kira had been taken out of the room whilst Mari had been getting dressed. Her eyes landed on Tyler, who was leaning back on a booth, his eyes half closed as he watched Alex rest. "You guys look disgusting mew." Kira giggled as she walked over, sitting down on the floor next to Alex's sleeping body. "You said he was dead Kira." Tyler grumbled, rolling his head to look at her. "He had no pulse, mew... I guess our adventure can continue longer!" Tyler shook his head, "Listen Kira. He might be fine now... but what if he gets attacked again... we're fighting someone double Mari's strength... We have Fliddies, we'll be fine... but him..." he turned to look at his friend, "He's too weak at the moment."
Scoffing, Kira crossed her arms, "He doesn't need a Fliddy to be strong! He needs us to believe in him! He's our captain, mew! Do you not have any trust that he will win?" Tyler sighed, closing his eyes again and leaning his head back. "No, I believe he will win this fight, but these guys work for The Swarm, remember? So anyone higher up is gonna be tons more powerful, I'm just worried about him."
The door behind Kira swung open, and the duo turned to look at Mari, who was walking casually as though nothing had happened. "How are you feeling Mari? Mew." Kira said, standing up and quickly walking over. "I am fine, Kira, thank you," Mari said, a hint of gratefulness in her voice, "I owe my life to you... and... how is he? Alex is his name, correct?" Peering round Kira, Mari's light flickered, now they were working together, she was distraught by what she had done to him.
