Alex's ears pricked up at the sound of Garrot's voice as the sparkling glitter rained down. The man was captivating, his whole-body radiating confidence as he spun around the stage. Reaching down to the sand, Alex watched as Garrot's hand clasped around another, tugging on it as another man stepped into the light.

Blinking, Alex rubbed his eyes. Was he seeing double? Sure enough, a man almost identical to Garrot stepped onto the stage, but in red... and a lot less glitter. "Friends, for the first time ever, my twin brother, Damion will be joining me in the centre of the ring!"

Alex felt a tug on his sleeve, seeing Kira reaching over Mari and grabbing his shirt. "He looks suspicious... mew." She mumbled, causing Alex to notice how Damion Silver shrunk back, seemingly hiding from the crowds.

"Hm..." Alex nodded in agreement, keeping his gaze on Damion as Garrot continued to speak.

"Prepare to be amazed as we take you across the globe! On a journey of the past, present, and future! You will see the impossible become possible, and the possible become reality!" Garrot spoke, as the crowd cheered his name. Grabbing his brother's hand, Garrot shot the crowd a wink, before the two disappeared into a cloud of smoke.

Feeling Kira shrink away, Alex leaned forwards, staring at the empty stage before it too, disappeared. "What?" he mumbled, his eyebrows knitting together. In a world of magic, he had never seen something completely vanish before.

"500 years ago..." Garrot's voice echoed around the tent, "An event took place... An event that shook the world. Many races went extinct, the Clarenna, the Pixies... and the Dragons." Alex gripped onto the bench as the ground began to shake. "Or so we thought."

Suddenly, the sandy floor in the pit began to slide open, as a large, blue dragon rose from the depths below. The crowd went silent, their eyes glued on the sight before them. "The last dragon alive, predicted to be over one thousand years old."

"That dragon... looks awful." Tyler mumbled into Alex's ear, neither being able to look away from the crumbling scales of the beast. The chains around its bloodied feet clanked as the dragon pulled against its restraints weakly. A roar thundered from its mouth, as its body gave way and collapsed into the sand below.

As the crowds began to cheer, Alex gripped his fists into balls. His eyes darting from wound to wound along the dragon's body. "This is Libby." Garrot's voice returned to his ears, "The last full dragon alive on our planet." Mari turned her head to look down at Kira, who had covered her mouth with one hand, whilst wiping her tears with the other.

Soon, the dragon was lowered back through the ground, still huffing and panting even though its movements had slowed. Garrot appeared back in the middle of the sand, his brother stood quietly beside him. "Now you have seen the past... how about a taste of the present?" Garrot yelled, the crowd clapping wildly in response. Waving his hand, the blonde man produced a bouquet of flowers, handing them to a woman in the audience, who was quickly swamped by others who wanted the gift.

"Has anyone here heard of The Fountain of Youth? Yeah, yeah? I know you have." Garrot winked at someone in the audience, who immediately fainted. "Well, we have just the surprise for you. Jade here, has drunk from The Fountain of Youth, and has been living longer than she can remember!" The ringmaster pulled off his jacket, swishing it to the side of himself as a young woman appeared.

The woman bowed deeply; her grey hair pulled back into a ponytail. As she raised her head, Alex could see a dark cloth covering her eyes. She was blind. "As payment to the fountain, Jade lost her eyesight, deeming it the most important thing she had." Garrot said, taking the woman's hand and raising it up in the air.
