The Mentally Brave

Chapter 17

"What do you mean?" I ask Harry trying to slow him down, trying to understand his words.

"They know, Louis had a vision, don't come back go to the safe house" He is talking really fast, making it hard for me to follow.

"Harry- What safe house? Who knows?" Niall glances over to me with alarm in his eyes, he stops the car on the side of the road taking the phone from me.

"Harry" He speaks. I read his mind to understand what is going on.

Company X.

They know of the cabin and they have agents on the way. They are getting all they have and fleeing the place, they'll meet us at the safe house.

I turn to look at Eleanor, who is watching us with wide eyes, waiting to hear what is happening.

"What have you done?" I turn to Zayn

"What?" He looks from me to El "What do you mean?"

"What have you told your family? You put something in motion! You must have" I say

Eleanor's eyes grow even wider "Something he did triggered Louie's vision" She turns to Zayn "Tell me what you told them- fast"

"I-I Just said I found a group of people like me, and I'm going to get some answers"

I read him. I can tell this is the truth, his memory playing in my mind.

"Where does your mum and dad work?" Niall questions him.

"My mum is a nurse and I have no idea what my dad does since I have no Idea who he is"

Another answer of truth. "El did you get anything?" I ask her.

Zayn looks at us trying to understand, but Eleanor is faster than him, she shakes no with her head. Maybe he triggered it without even knowing.

"What is going on?" He finally questions as we all just sit in the car staring at each other with faces full of fear.

"The Company we just told you about? Company X? Found out about our place and they're on their way there" Niall explains starting the car and getting back into the lane.

"What does that mean?"Zayn is confused not understanding the consequences.

"It means, that if one of us gets caught.." Eleanor's voice fades, I can hear the fear in her voice. The fear for her friends, the only family she has.

"You know what Harry was talking about?" I say quietly to Niall.

"Yes, we are about an hour away" He replies.

I keep trying to call Harry but he doesn't pick up. At some point I just let it go, my head starting to hurt from all my thoughts, and the thoughts of the people in the car with me, so I block them all out. Niall is doing his thing trying to calm us down, but since he is too tense himself it isn't working that well.

We get to a dirt road after about 45 minutes. We drive it for 15 minutes more, between tall trees. It gets darker as we drive further into the forest. It isn't like the nice one the cabin is built next to. This is a full grown forest, like the ones that scary and intense films are made in.

After another few moments a little house comes into view.

"How do we know this one wasn't found by the Company?" I ask

"This one has really strong security built all around it, and it doesn't exist on the google map, and the sky footage, Liam took care of that" Niall parks the car but doesn't make any attempt to get out.
