I closed my book and set my pen down. I took off my reading glasses, neatly placing it aside. I got up and went downstairs for breakfast.

I have time to burn until work. I went to my kitchen and decided on a bacon omlete. I set my plate and grabbed myself a water.

I took a seat and just as I was about to dig in, there was a knock at my door. I exhale, gazing at my food. My stomach grumbled, indicating that if I don't eat I just might break something.

Abother knock broke me from my thoughts and I remembered you. Amelia.

I got out of my seat, hurrying to the door. I combed my hair hair back with my fingers and was bothered by the smell of food on me.

I openes the door and her back is facing me, like she was getting ready to leave.

"Amelia."

She stops, turning around. A saddened expression was on her face before it was quickly replaced with a smile.

"Eddy, hi, I thought you were already to work. I just came to apologize for last night." She turned fully to me and I set my hands in my pockets out of habit.
