Chapter 3: Let Me Help You

3rd Person's P.O.V.

After Shadow had calmed down. Sonic and Shadow went to a chili dog stand. Shadow had bought him 10 chili dogs.

"Here you go, Sonic. I'm sorry for my behavior earlier." Shadow said as he handed him the bag of chili dogs. They took a seat by a nearby picnic table before eating.

"Thanks Shads. You don't have to apologize ya know, you were sad and stressed, and I understand that." Sonic said as he started to eat the first chili dog.

"But...I hurt you. How can you forgive me so easily?" He asked. Sonic chuckled and passed him one of the chili dogs.

"It was hurtful to see you that way. I don't see how I couldn't forgive you. And after what you told me, it's seems you've been hurt way more than me. Now eat up, I don't want you to starve."

Shadow nodded, and reluctantly took a bite out of the chili dog. It tasted great, even if it wasn't healthy. He downed four more before he decided to stop, or else he would throw up from eating too quickly.

"I guess you like it huh?" Sonic smiled. That smile, that sweet smile always made Shadow feel like everything would be alright. Maybe that's why people admired him.

"It was...fine." He replied. Sonic rolled his eyes playfully.

"Yeah right. You totally liked them." He teased.

"Maybe I did. But I know something that's even better than chili dogs." He grinned. Sonic took another bite out of his 4th chili dog.

"There is possibly nothing better than chili dogs. But tell me anyway cause now you got me curious."

There was a slight pause before Shadow spoke.

"It's you."

Sonic was about to take another bite, but he froze. He blushed and began taking smaller bites of his food to occupy himself.

"Aww, if only you could see how red you are right now. How adorable." Shadow smirked, and leaned closer to Sonic.

"Shut up...and let me finish my food.." He said, and pushed Shadow's face away from his, earning a chuckle.

"Alright, if you say so." Sonic looked at him curiously. What did he mean by that? He got his answer when Shadow stopped talking. He was looking him up and down with lust filled eyes, waiting for him to finish his food.

Sonic felt his face heat up again, and he quickly finished his last chili dog. He got up from the bench and sped walked towards the forest. Shadow followed him.

'It's okay. No one is gonna see. He said he'd wait. But oh God, the way he was looking at me... Maybe this'll be enough for now.'

Sonic stopped walking as fast so he could match Shadow's pace. Shadow was still looking at him in that same lust filled way. Like he would pounce on him at any given moment. It made him nervous of his next move.

"Hey...Shadow?" Sonic asked, and he stopped walking. He was sure that no one would go this far into the forest.

"Hmm? What is it..?" His voice was calm like the ocean. He stepped closer to Sonic and held his waist.

"I have a question." Sonic messed with the chest fur that was sticking out of Shadow's shirt. He couldn't meet his eyes.

"Go on." He purred, and pulled Sonic closer.
