Chapter 4: We're Here to Help!

3rd Person P.O.V.

Sonic slept for what felt like forever. When he woke up, it was well into the afternoon and he was covered in a blanket.

"Oh, you're finally awake." Shadow leaned down and kissed him gently. Sonic immediately purred. He wasn't used to such treatment right when he woke up. He picked his head up from Shadow's lap and yawned. Only then did the memories of what they did together just a few hours ago came rushing back.
He blushed, and buried his face in Shadow's chest.

"Are you embarrassed?" Shadow chuckled. All he got was a slow nod from his partner. He gently stroked his quills and let him calm down. Eventually, he did.

"I can't believe we did that..." He murmured. Shadow smiled, and kissed his cheek.

"But it felt good, right?" He asked. Sonic thought about it for a moment, and smiled bubbly.

"Hehe...yeah..." He moved closer into Shadow's lap and began to mess with his chest fur.

"Sonic?"

"Hmm?" Sonic answered as he continued to mess with Shadow's fur.

"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to make it obvious that I was beginning to get pent up. Next time we can wait until you're fully ready." Shadow sighed, and looked away, feeling guilty. He felt like he had pressured Sonic into doing something he didn't want to.

Sonic grabbed Shadow's face, and kissed him passionately. When they broke apart, Shadow was looking at him in amazement while he smirked.

"Would someone who was pressured into something do that?" He asked teasingly. Shadow smiled, and felt his worries begin to melt away. He wrapped his arms around him smaller partner and he kissed his forehead. All it was was innocent kisses. He didn't want to go overboard again.

"Thank you, Sonic. Let's finish our date." And they did. They took turns in the showers, and got dressed in new clothes.

"So, where are we going now?" Sonic asked as he held Shadow's hand. He smiled.

"I may know a place. See if you can keep up." Without warning, Shadow took off.

"Hey! That's not fair!" Sonic yelled, and immediately took after him. They were ment to race each other, to see who would get to the unknown destination first. Instead, they matched speeds, making sure not to push passed the others limit.

They reached their destination, and Sonic's eyes began to shine. It was a theme park. The lights were beautiful at this time of day.

"Is this? Are we? I thought you hated crowded places!" Shadow smiled at his reaction, and held him closer by his waist.

"Well, I do. But if we're going to be together than there must be a compromise." Sonic stared at him. He was doing all this for him? He felt butterflies in his stomach, and began to pull Shadow towards the inviting atmosphere.

"Well come on! We haven't got a second to lose! By the time you know it we'll be packed with prizes. Do you want me to win you one? Just tell me which one!" It was Shadow's turn to stare at his lover. His expression and his voice of joy made him feel happy. He couldn't believe he would be able to feel that emotion again.

The two went around playing all the games they could find, and enjoying the company of each other. A figure followed far enough not to be seen or heard, but just enough to silently watch the two lovers.

The two were unaware of the watchful eyes, too distracted at keeping each other happy. When Sonic and Shadow thought it was time to go home, the figure slipped away silently into the night.
