After about a week, the Special Unit seemed to be functioning better as a team, Chu has become more friendly and less intimidating, while Da Qing has been accepted as the mascot for the office the staff are beginning to trust Yunlan's instincts when it comes to difficult cases. Although they are no further forward on Zhu Jiu's murderer, Lin Jing is still working on it and Yunlan hasn't shown any sign of having other abilities, which worries the cat, because even although he acted as if he was angry, it was more concern for what else was around the corner for him. Yunlan was lucky to recover from all the injuries from the accident and Da Qing doesn't want to lose him again. The staff have gladly finished up for the day and happily gone home therefore the office is empty and Da Qing can lazily walk around without worry of being seen. Yunlan has phoned Shen Wei at home and asked him politely if he could drop by the office to have a look at this plant, explaining what had happened when Chu tried to open the back of the base, also vaguely mentioning the fire throwing.
Five minutes later, he was there at the office in his blue suit, worriedly demanding an explanation about throwing fire. Yunlan couldn't get out of it, he had to be specific and give details because he knows that Wei has a built in lie detector as part of his brain. Chu and Da Qing quietly left the small office to Yunlan speak privately to Shen Wei without interruption from the cat, and also to try his best to remember what abilities he had before and after his death, because he did gain a few afterwards and now he doesn't remember. Whether its because he parted with them, voluntarily giving them to Kunlun, or the brain damage that has blocked some of his memory, Yunlan's not sure. Shen Wei listens to him and has to explain the promise he gave to Kunlun for saving Yunlan's life, returning all the abilities in exchange for being a sleeping part of his life, only appearing when Yunlan needed help, which made sense remembering what happened the last time he paid a visit.
Chu and Da Qing returned when they didn't hear any loud discussion, knowing then that the explanations must have been accepted on both sides. Chu brought over the plant to Yunlan's desk for Shen Wei to examine where he immediately placed a shield around it protecting everyone. He turned the key watching for a flower head to move, neutralising the sleeping gas as soon as it was released and rotated the key again which undid the lock and the little door opened. Inside was a memory stick filled with files that Shen Wei didn't understand, so he passed it to Da Qing who knew how to open them. It was going to take time to organise and examine the information which was gathered and stored for safe keeping, therefore starting this in the office was not a good idea, it would be safer done at the university as a student in the library, where his presence would not be questioned. Yunlan would tell the team that the cat was at the vet and had a stomach infection, so he needed to stay away from the office for a while.
Chu and Da Qing were both hungry, so they left the office, and headed for an eating place that served fish, which would give Shen Wei some time alone with Yunlan before the cat comes back, leaving them to lock up and head for home. They took a leisurely stroll enjoying the walk, passers by went their own way and showed no interest in the two incredibly attractive men chatting and smiling to each other, followed covertly at a distance by one of the guards. Arriving safely at Shen Wei's home, the guard returned to his own place knowing that Yunlan was there with Black Robe, he wasn't alone.
