The office was full this morning and it was still early, coffee was being passed around to help some of them with their energy levels and wake up to another day's work. Chu arrived with Da Qing exchanging greetings and also heading to the kitchen for herbal energy tea, before Yunlan made his appearance later, followed unwillingly by Shen Wei who had lost the argument about showing his face in the office. Cong Bo asked Chu if he knew how Yunlan had got on with his therapist last night, causing him to choke on his tea, and drawing him a stoic look to kill Cong Bo backed away quietly without an answer.
Yunlan's voice could be heard before he was seen, alerting his staff that he was in the building, but what they were not prepared for, was the attractive image one step behind him, following his every move through the main office and in to Yunlan's, closing the door behind him. Conversation had stopped the moment he had entered the office and crossed the room, with at least five chins dropping in shock while Chu and Da Qing glanced at each other wondering what he was doing here and how did Yunlan manage to persuade him to come. Seven bodies all sat down in synch, speechless.
"All you have to do is follow me out, say hello a couple of times and excuse yourself for work, leave slowly, don't dive for the door to escape."
It was easier being Black Robe, he never had to do the meet and greet thing, he came and went as he pleased, now he had to learn to be pleasant to people who are usually terrified of him, ironically they made him nervous, but if it helped to spur them on to work harder, he would do this. "What about Chu and Da Qing, do they know me?"
At this point Yunlan was finding it difficult to keep a straight face.
"Relax, yes they know you, and the team knows that." Yunlan stepped towards him closing the gap, leaning forward he gripped his shoulders, and staring into his eyes, he gently kissed him. "It will be fine, just relax and say hello." and he kissed him again.
Opening the door Yunlan confidently stepped out into the office followed by a nervous Wei, who stood beside him as he was introduced to everyone, returning the smiles on their faces at the joy of meeting Yunlan's professor. Shen Wei did relax and in fact stayed longer than agreed, so that Yunlan had to remind him about his time for class, and he left the office waving to everyone who all immediately fell in love with him.
Back to business, why would anyone want to kill this gentle creature of a man, it made no sense, so they started searching the data banks for faces similar to the image that Black Robe had sent them. When Lin Jing asked Yunlan why was Black Robe taking an interest, he diverted him by saying that it was a favour owed to him from the past which stopped all other following questions.
Shen Wei was a little late on arrival at the university but not late for class, it just meant that he had less time for tea before starting his first class. The morning went well, there had been no problems with the students who were all very keen to learn , and he returned to his study to collect his notes for the next class. After pushing the door open and entering, he felt the red coil wrap around his neck and a voice whispered to him,
