My eyes opened slowly as the sun shone into the room, but my sight remained fuzzy and miss-shaped, until I saw something move to my left. My eyes focused and I came to realise it was Sam.
The sound of sizzling and clattering of plates made me realise that Sam was in the kitchen making breakfast, which meant I was in the couch in the living room. No wonder I didn't get a good nights sleep.
I yawned rather loudly, stretching as Sam turned around, surprised to see me. "Oh! Hey Amora." Sam stated, smiling at me. "Hi Sam." I yawned once again, tiredly. Sam lightly laughed and turned back around to his food that was cooking.
I opened my eyes and glanced around, trying to get used to my surroundings and fully wake myself.
"Did Colby kick you out of his room? If he did I'm so sorry." Sam asserted, genuinely. "He can be a dick sometimes and that's coming from one of his best friends." He stated, shaking his head just at the thought of Colby kicking Amora out. "No, he didn't I just decided it was comfier down here." I replied with a genuine smile, although I was lying. There was no way I was going to go up to our shared room last night, after what he did to me.
Sam nodded quietly and continued cooking his food.
The aroma of his well-done food wafted through the air, smelling delicious. Slowly but surely three boys stumbled down the stairs, hungry and ready to eat. Corey, Jake and Colby.
I glanced down at my arm, where it slightly stung. The burn was redraw however didn't hurt as much as it did when it first happened. I felt the feeling of someone's eyes on me, and I looked up. Colby was staring at my forearm, at the red and ugly burn.
He surely remembered. He looked away instantly as he went to go sit at the kitchen island with the others, waiting for Sam to share his cooked and delicious food.
"Come sit at the kitchen island Amora!" Sam shouted over his shoulder, invitingly while turning off the stove. I walked over cautiously and leaned on the island, next to Corey.
Corey looked over at me and found his way down to my burned arm. He lightly gasped at my burn, bringing attention to it. "Shit Amora! What did you do?" Corey commented, worried.
Everyones' gaze was fixed on my arm, now more intrigued by my burn than their food.
Colby glared at me from behind the boys, I couldn't tell the boys what had really happened. Not that I wanted to, it would cause trouble.
"I accidentally burned my arm last night when lighting a candle, stupid I know." I declared confidently, rubbing my hand over my burn-area anxiously.
Jake sighed worriedly at my stupidity, falling for my lie. "Be more careful Amora." Jake commented annoyed, sending me a quick look. I nodded my head in agreement and with that, everyone regained focus on their food. Colby gave me one last glance but said nothing.

It was later on in the day and we were all sitting in the living room watching movies, We were currently watching a random movie from the 90s but it was still intriguing.
"We should do something tonight" Sam insisted randomly, while texting someone on his phone. Everyone looked up to Sam and agreed. "Kat and all of her friends are going clubbing tonight, Kat said we could come along if we want? She also wants to meet Amora." Sam stated.
Anxiety coursed through my veins at meeting even more people and clubbing in Los Angeles sounded chaotic, but fun.
The boys all agreed except one.
"There's no way Amora's coming with us." Jake demanded, his arms crossed over his chest defiantly.
I rolled my eyes at his protectiveness and huffed, aggravated. "Jake I'm 21! I'm legal, I'm not a kid!" I sighed annoyed at his antics.
