The next morning, Colby and I rounded up everyone in the living room. My nerves were through the roof but Colby was by my side the entire time; comforting me. Everyone was full of confusion, wondering why we had asked them to meet us in here.

My hands wrapped around my own trembling body and I caught my breath, remaining calm. My worst nightmare was coming true, of course I was petrified. My mouth went dry just as I opened my mouth but I still managed to talk. "Thank you all for meeting in here, it means a lot truly." I murmured, my eyes cast down at my feet. Everyone was on the edge of their seats, just wanting to know what was going on.

"I'll just get straight to the point, last night I received multiple messages from my parents." I choked out, gasps and whispers echoed around the room. Colby placed his arm around my neck, pulling me closer to his warm, comforting body.

Jake's eyes widened fully, he stood up from his seat - seething in anger. His hands were in strong fists at his sides, he breathed heavily but remained calm. He stayed standing up with his arms across his chest. My eyes finally travelled up from my feet to my beloved friends, the friends who loved me more than anything and the friends who felt more like family than my real family.

"Most of their messages were just insults and bluff, but one message caught my eye." I added, taking a deep breath. "They said they were on their way to take me back home and that they had booked flights." I confessed and the room fell silent. Kat and Tara made their way over to me and embraced me into a hug, tears began to fall.

Jake was enraged, "Show me the messages, now." He seethed, seeing red. My hand fell to my pocket, taking out my phone and handing it to Jake. As he read over the messages he fell into a deeper anger. You could see in his eyes, a deep red storm swirled within. He glanced up from the phone to me with a deep chuckle. "I can assure you, they won't get anywhere near you. Not over my dead body." Jake declared, placing my phone back in my hands.

"Are you sure they're not bluffing? I mean how would they know where you lived or if you were even in La as of right now?" Sam pondered out aloud, Corey agreeing with him. Sam did have a point but I knew my parents they'd have their ways.

"I'm sure, Jake and I know them better than anyone. They'd find out, somehow." I worried, my room was full of tension and worry. "Even if they weren't bluffing they'd have to get past of us. We'd never let them take you." Colby added from the sidelines, sending me a sly wink.

A soft giggle erupted from my mouth, they were all right. I would be fine either way, they wouldn't let go of me. It's like what Sam said, how would they kn-

There was a thunderous knock at the door.

Everyone glanced my way, my hart beated like a drum and my lip began to tremble. Jake rushed to the door protectively, opening it slightly. Only for it to be pushed open recklessly also pushing Jake to the side.

And there she stood.
