Chapter 9

"He's my friend... It's only natural for him to worry about me," Itt said quietly, afraid that Day would accuse him of arguing back.

"Friends? Huh..." said Day in a mocking tone. Itt doesn't understand. Day gets up to take the dishes into the kitchen. Itt wanted to call Nick back, but he was afraid of how Day would react. Itt could only hope and pray that Day wouldn't do anything to his friend.

"Itt!" Day called loudly, causing Itt to be startled.

"What...What?!" Itt yelled back before Day stomped out of the kitchen.

"Have you eaten the entire cake?" Day asked in an angry voice. Itt's face immediately became gloomy.

"Well...er...er...I ate it all." Itt conceded, but reluctantly. Day let out a heavy sigh.

"If your stomach hurts, don't come crying to me. I'll only make it feel worse," complained Day.

// Damn it. Didn't you hurt it before? // Itt can only think in his heart.

Ring... Ring... Ring...

Itt's phone rang, causing him to flinch a little. Day stood in front of Itt and asked him quietly, "Who is it?".

"Ai' Nick," Itt replied in a low voice.

"Just tell him someone will go down and fetch it. It would be inconvenient for you to go down and get it. Ask him to park by the sign, in front of the condo, and wait," Day said.

"Day, Nick has nothing to do with this matter..." Itt hurriedly said.

"What do you think I'm going to do with your friend? Answer the phone!" Day yelled again. Itt had no choice but to answer Nick's call.

"Uh... Nick... have you arrived?... Park in front of the condo. I'll have someone come down and get the wallet. It's not convenient for me to come down and get it myself... no... nothing ...er... Thank you very much." Itt said before hanging up the call and looking at Day.

"I told him," Itt replied.

"Oh, wait in the room. I'll go down and get it myself," Day said before taking Itt's phone with him and walking out of the door. Itt could only give him a worried look.

Day left the condo and walked outside to find the parked in front of the condo sign. When he spotted Nick's car, he headed over and knocked on the driver's side window. As the window was lowered, Day took a step back.

"Are you Itt's friend named Nick?" Day asked in a low voice, scrutinizing Nick.

"Oh, where is Itt? Why didn't he come down and get it himself?" Nick asked.

"He's busy. Don't ask too much. He can't come down. Give me his wallet. I'll take it with me back up to my room," Day said.

"Can I go up to see Itt?" Nick asked again.

"No, it's already late! Why do you want to go up?" Day said in a harsh voice. A dissatisfied look was written all over his face.

"Er... No, it's not. Here's his wallet," said Nick before handing the wallet to Day.

Day grabbed his wallet and immediately walked back to his condo. He was not interested in hearing what Nick had to say.

"How did Neil look at Nick and think he would be the husband of Itt? It would be more convincing if it was the other way around," Day grumbled in the elevator after having seen Nick's face.

When Day went back to the room, Itt immediately turned to look his way. Day throws him his wallet, and he catches it.

"What about Nick?" Itt said.
