Chapter 29

"Do you think other people are better than me now?" Day asked Beam in a calm voice.

"What other people? This is Itt. He's not just anyone," Beam said. Day glanced at Itt with a smile.

"Anyway, he's just anyone anyway," Day said, causing Itt to stop and turn to look at Day with an annoyed and hurt expression. Beam turned to look at Itt sympathetically because he knew Day's words must have hurt Itt.

"P' Day, stop saying that about him. Otherwise, Beam will be very angry with P' Day," Itt said in an angry voice. Day tried to look the other way without saying anything. Itt sat still. When the order was served, the three of them sat down to eat without saying a word.

"P' Itt, eat some shrimp," Beam scooped shrimp from the pot and put it onto Itt's plate.

"Thank you, Beam," Itt replied in a low voice. In other words, the small figure hardly even looked Day's way.

Suddenly...

Itt and Beam froze when Day suddenly picked up a piece of roasted Duck and put it onto Itt's plate. Itt raised his head to look at Day a little before lowering his head and continuing to eat. He didn't even touch the duck that Day put on the plate for him.

"Aren't you going to eat?" Day asked. Itt was silent and didn't answer him. Day frowned.

"Itt," Day called in a low tone.

"Uh... wait a minute, I will be right back. I am going to go use the bathroom," said the young man.

"I'll come with you," Itt said.

"No, you don't have to. P' Itt, stay with P' Day. I will only be gone for a moment," After he finished speaking, the small figure immediately got up. Beam just wanted to give Day a minute to talk with Itt alone. He knew that Day would not say anything in front of him. He just intended to walk away for about 10 minutes before returning to their table.

"Where are you going?" Day asked in a deep voice when he saw Itt move to get up.

"I'm going to the bathroom," Itt said in a low voice. He tried to move up from the table, but Day's strong hand grabbed him by his wrist to make him sit instead of following Beam.

"What are you doing to me?" Itt asked in a raspy voice.

"You'll sit here. Beam will go instead of you. If you still want to go to the bathroom, wait until Beam gets back. I'll bring you there," Day said in a deep voice while moving his plate over to Itt's side of the table to switch seats with Beam.

"Then, why do you have to sit next to me?" Itt asked back.

"My business," Day replied with a calm expression. Itt sits and frowns while looking out the glass window next to him. He was ready to eat and didn't care about Day.

"Why don't you eat what I put on your plate for you?" Day asked angrily because no matter what he put on Itt's plate, Itt always pushed it aside and didn't eat it. This was starting to make Day feel a little irritated.

"I don't eat what,"just anyone" give me," Itt said, emphasizing his words and turning to look in the other direction.

"Huh? Just anyone... are you really that sensitive over the fact that I told Beam that you were just anyone?" Day asked. Itt turned and looked at Day with an annoyed and resentful look.

"Who is sensitive? I'm not sensitive. I like to think that you're sensitive all the time," Itt said, brushing his words off.

"You don't have to lie to me. Do you think you can ever lie to me?" Day asked in a mocking tone. This made Itt scoff at Day.
