Nick & Neil - Special Chapter 9

After Neil discovered this information from Nick, he immediately went to tell Day. Day already knew, so Neil followed Day to his car.

Ring... Ring... Ring...

Neil's phone rang. Day was driving, so Neil immediately answered the call.

"What's wrong, shorty?" Neil answered the call.

- ("What did Day say?") Nick asked in a frantic tone.

"Day and I are going to help Itt," Neil said back.

- ("I'm coming too,") Nick said.

"No, stay at home. We'll take care of this ourselves," Neil promptly said.

- ("No! Itt is my friend. I'm going to help my friend,") Nick argued.

"Little bastard... it's dangerous. I don't know if Pee is playing any games or not. You don't need to come," Neil said with a stern voice.

- ("If you think it's dangerous, then why are you going?! If you won't let me go with you, I'll call Gear and Four to come get me.")

"Shorty," Neil called out stiffly.

- ("No, you don't have to yell at me... I'm worried about Itt, and I'm worried about you too... let me go, Neil, I'm begging you,") Nick pleaded. Neil sighed softly at Nick's stubbornness.

"Okay, I'll call you later. We're almost there now," Neil said before hanging up. Nick quickly calls his two best friends. Not long after, Gear and Four came to pick Nick up in front of his house because Nick didn't have a car with him. Neil called to decide to meet Nick and the others at the entrance to the racetrack. When they arrived, they met with Fu and some of his friends.

"Nick... I think..." Neil didn't want Nick to go inside.

"You don't have to worry about Nick. He might seem fragile, but he's a tough guy. He can fight and handle a beating. He will be alright," Gear said.

"Neil, don't worry about me. I can take care of myself. Right now, we need to focus on helping Day and Itt," said Nick because Day had already gone inside the building.

Neil was silent for a moment before nodding his head in acknowledgement. Then they barged in to help Day. The events leading up to Itt and Day getting shot happened so quickly. Pee and Itt's father intervened before things got too bad.

Neil and Nick rushed Itt and Day to the hospital. Nick cries when he sees Itt had faint from losing too much blood.

As soon as his friend was transferred to the emergency room, Nick hugged Neil and cried hard. He was worried about Itt and Day. Soon, the doctor came out to deliver the good news that they were both out of critical condition. This made Nick and Neil feel very relieved. They called their friends to tell them the good news.

"Stop crying. Your eyes are almost swollen shut," Neil said as he sat outside in the waiting room for Day to be moved to a recovery room.

"I'm worried about both of them," said Nick, his voice trembling. Neil lifted his chin up.

"Damn it... why did you want to get hit so badly? Your cheek has a bruise on it now," Neil cursed when he saw the bruise on Nick's cheek. Nick lifted his hand to touch the bruise on his cheek. He flinched slightly from the pain while laughing.

"Don't worry about it. It'll be gone in a few days," said Nick.

"I told you that I didn't want you to go. You were stubborn and went anyways," Neil grumbled.

"Are you worried about me?" Nick asked in a low voice.

"Why wouldn't I be? What kind of weird question was that?" Neil replied. Nick smiled softly before leaning his head to lay against Neil's strong chest.
