Not long later, everyone had got back to the edge.
Astrid immediatly rushed into Hiccup's hut, wishing to see his condition.
The rest of them stood outside the hut.
"Hiccup! How do you feel? I was worr-" Astrid then stopped talking.
She didn't see Hiccup, but a letter on the bed.
Dear Dragon riders,
You know, you should really guard your base. I have taken the precious leader of yours as well as his dragon, the night fury. I want the dragon eye in exchange of your leader. You have twenty-four hours to make the decision. If you come empty handed, not come at all or any funny business, I will not hesitate to kill him. I recommend you not try anything funny, after all it is your leader on the line.
-Viggo
As Astrid read the letter, tears rolled down her cheeks. She couldn't believe it, she fell for one of Viggo's tricks.
She put her head down and exited the hut with the letter in her hand. She handed the letter to Stoick and went towards her hut.
Everyone looked confused, they thought that she was going to be relieved after looking at Hiccup or even having a small chat with him. However, they all soon understood why Astrid was acting that way after Stoick told the gang about the letter.
Astrid sat on her bed, blaming herself. "If only if I had found Hiccup earlier last night, he might not have gotten sick. If only I had not listened to him, Viggo would not have caught Hiccup and Toothless. If only if they weren't caught, Viggo would not be asking for the dragon-eye we found. This is all my fault." Astrid thought to herself. She kept on thinking of every reason why it was her fauly, she couldn't stop blaming herself.
Just then Stoick came in, hoping to comfort his heartbroken future daughter in law.
"Astrid, this is not your fault. Everyone gets sick eventually. We cannot just stay here and do nothing, we have to think of a plan to save Hiccup, to save my son. He left you in-charge, it is now your responsibility to resolve this."
"I know. It's just that, where is he when I need him."
---------------------------------------Meanwhile with Viggo ---------------------------
Toothless was licking Hiccup's face, trying to get him awake.
"W-what. Bud what's wrong?"
That's when Hiccup realised that he was no longer in his hut, but in a cage!
"Great, just great. The one day I get sick, I get captured by Viggo, just great." Hiccup thought to himself.
He tried getting up but he couldn't as he would fall when he tried.
"Why hello there, Hiccup. I must say, it was rather easy to capture you, I'm no medic but I'm guessing you got sick, how unfortunate. Now, it all depends on your precious Dragon Riders. I have left a letter for them to give me the dragon-eye in exchange for you and your dragon."
He knew it, of course Viggo would make use of him when he got sick.
Without any medicine, he couldn't recover from his illness and was starting to get worse. He had to continue fighting with his eyelids. However, his eyelids wanted to close faster.
"Hiccup, Hiccup, it is obvious that your trying to stay awake. Don't worry your not going anywhere so just sleep."
He looked at Viggo with a death stare. Just then, the green pupils of his eyes rolled up and he was unconsicious once again.
