CHAPTER 10:ATHELIA

This week has been nothing but boring.I had tonnes of work to do.Assignments to pass.Basketball training.Yes l play basketball.lf there is a thing l enjoy besides sleep,food and art.Then it has to be basketball.

The team in this school is fantastic.People are friendly and determined.lt is friday afternoon and l am coming from basketball practice.l am walking with Maya a girl l met there.She is a bubbly sweet girl.

Today l was going out with Valerie and Natalie to town.For a girls nightout.l didn't want to go but Valerie begged me and promised to do my Chem homework for two weeks straight.

"We should hang out sometime Athelia"Mia says

"Definitely you're a fun girl.Would you like to come with me and my friends to town"l ask her turning around to look at her because she had already stopped.

"I would love to,anyways l have nothing better to do other than staying in my room.l have never had any friends since Samantha told people that l sleep around with people's fathers to get money.Ever since then people have been avoiding me like a virus"She says blubbering.

I quickly pull her into a hug."l'm sorry  hun l'm sure you're a good person"l rub her back soothingly.After sometime she quietens then looks up to me and says"you know the funny part is that me and her used to be bestfriends in middle school.Something silly happened and she stopped talking to me".

"Don't worry yourself about her,you have me now.l will be your friend".l say and join my hand with hers.As we were about to arrive to our hostel.

We are met with Rune and Sebastian.l wonder how Seb deals with this fool next to him.

"Hey Athelia fancy seeing you here and who is this hot girl you're walking with"Rune says with a egoistical smirk on his face.

"I don't know if you are dumb or you're just completely blind.As you can see we are in front of our hostel.Shouldn't l be the one saying fancy seeing you here jerk.This hot girl next to me is my friend and she has a name"l look at him with a hostile glare.

"Hi Athelia and Maya"Seb says giving us one of his charming smile.
I look at Maya who is blushing hard.

Rune grabs me by my arm and says."Seb be kind enough to take  Maya to her room.l need to talk with princess for a while".Rune says.More like commands us.

Seb takes Maya away after l tell her that l will send her the time for us to meet.

"The fuck dude what do you want from me.When l see you my blood boils.Right now l feel like bursting in anger and piece of advice l'm no princess my name is A_T_H_E_L_I_A, athelia"l was now panting from talking none stop.

"Calm down princess.l wanted to tell you that you are coming with me to my father's ball tomorrow evening and l'm not giving you an option you're coming whether you like it or not"he says looking straight into my eyes.

The way he says it makes me want to obey him and go without making a tantrum.

"NO l won't go with you.Nothing will make me go with with you".l say to him.

"Listen Athelia l didn't give you a choice and the issue of you talking back to me will get you in trouble one day.Be a good girl and go prepare for tomorrow"he says with a clenched jaw and his eyes looked like deep pools of death.

I looked at him for the last time and said"l will never have a male control me or tell me what to do.l ain't going nowhere tomorrow".

I turned around fast and walked away.What did he think of himself.l am no puppet.

When l arrived in my room.l went straight to the refrigerator and took out a tub of icecream and went with it to my room.

In my room.l took a quick shower,applied make up and decided to sit for a while before going out with the girls.l entered my blankets and started watching all american homecoming season two.

After a while of sitting in my room and doing nothing.l decide to put on my clothes for the night.

We were going to a restuarent of my choice and l had told the girls to not dress fancy but casually.l put on faded blue boyfriend jeans and a black crop top and a black cropped puffer jacked and finished off the outfit with black combat boots.

I had my hair up in a ponytail and no jewellery because l was allergic to silver and gold wasn't my thing.

I put my phone in the jean pocket,locked my room and went downstairs to meet the girls.Natalie and Valerie had left the room earlier because they said they wanted to go and see Valerie's younger sister first who is a junior.

When l arrive downstairs.l find Natalie and Valerie chatting with Maya.l guess they got along after all.

"You look good ladies"l say smiling and bringing Maya in for a hug.

"You look good too Athelia"Natalie says.

I look at Valerie and say"l thought l told you to dress casually"l say to Valerie.

"This is the most casual outfit l have"We all look at her dumbfounded.

"Okay Val don't say l didn't warn you"We make our way to Valerie's car.We enter then we drive away.

We arrive at the restuarent and the girls look unsure of this place.l drag them all inside.

The restuarent looked nice from my point of view.It had booths lining up,but it was a roller skating park.

We make way to one booth and sit there.A waiter comes to take our orders and we give her what we want.We are still chatting when we hear this.

"OH my gosh SPONGEEE, we look up to see Ethan and the boys.

He comes up to us and says"OMG what a coincidence,fun seeing you here and scoot over cause we are sitting with you here ,GUYS come"Ethan says this dude has a lot of energy.

"Don't worry about anything because l'm paying for your food guys and also we already ordered".We are all still shocked.Nobody seemed to be protesting.l thought this was supposed to be a girls night out.

Now we were all sitting in a bigger booth the eight of us.Looking at each other with nothing to say.lt was dead silent to say the least.

It was awkward.Honestly l wanted to laugh.Everything was okay until Ethan decided to say"Sebastian do you know that your head looks like a groundnut".
