Today l woke up early and went to take a bath.Then went downstairs to make breakfast.All the maids were given a leave for the coming two weeks till new year.Except for the guards.l make my way down the stairs.
I go to the kitchen then start making breakfast.l don't know what Kane or aunt and uncle like so l just cook pretty much everything.
I cook eggs;bacon;grilled cheese toast;sausages;pancakes and soft food for my baby cousin.
I set the table.Then l go around the house knocking on everyone's door.Once l'm sure everyone is up.l go back to the kitchen and fish out my plate then take my phone and go to the garden.There was a big round table there with a shade.
I sit there then start eating my food.My phone pings.
I open the message.
HEN🐔:HI BSF WHERE R U.
ME:BY THE GARDEN.WHY ARE YOU LOOKING FOR ME?
HEN🐔:NADA I'LL JUST COME CAUSE I MISS YOU.
I switch off my phone then proceed with eating.l see Hen approaching.She comes and sits down opposite me.
"Wow this house is huge and ontop of that there is a beautiful garden.l feel so relaxed".She says taking a sip of her coffee.
"Yeah".l respond.
"I've been meaning to ask you.Are you okay Athelia.l mean we came here and found Rune with a girlfriend.Whilst he told you he missed you and you came here very happy because you will be seeing him after a long time".She says with concern in her eyes.
"Yeah l know right but l don't care anymore.What can l do about it kill the girl.No if he's happy then so be it.l'm happy that he's happy.We were never meant to be".l say freeing my hair from the bun.
"But are you happy".She asks.
"Ofcourse l am okay.You know being single is like a disease that has no cure for it.So the only thing to do is just embracing it".l say to her.
"Okay if you say so.Kane said today we were going out to the carnival in the city.So eat fast we have to go in like an hour".l start stuffing my face with food.
After we finish eating we both go and get ready.l had already bathed this morning.So l just put on clothes and fix my hair.
I am wearing ribbed blue mom jeans,with a black tight fitting crop top and black shoes.
I take my phone and money.Then make my way downstairs.
"You took forever,A".Hen says.She was wearing.Black tight fitting jeans with a dusty pink croptop.She looked really nice.
"Morning Athelia,Hen".Kane says.
"Morning Kane".l say.
"Lets go guys,they are waiting for us".Kane says.
We walk to Kane's Jeep."Shotgun".Hen shouts as she runs to the passenger seat.
I chuckle.This girl is crazy.l sit at the back sit and Kane starts driving.Hen connects her phone with an aux cord.
She starts playing young dumb and broke by Khalid.l might as well sleep.Like don't get me wrong the song is nice but its too slow.
"Hen change the song and stop singing you sound like a dying cat".Kane says.l just nod my head agreeing to whatever he was saying.
Hen looks at me through the review mirror and mouths"you traitor".l smile at her and say"change the song mummy pig".Hen hates peppa pig so much.
But whats there to hate about the cartoon.lts fun.
"Oh no you didn't,l ain't no mummy pig you old wallock".She says and starts laughing.
She then starts playing.The box by Roddy Ricch."ohhh l love this song".l scream.
