CHAPTER 16:ATHELIA

Its been a the toughest two weeks ever.We were writing our end of term tests.I haven't spoken to the others that much.We only see each other in the hallways or l meet my roommates in the lounge when studying sometimes.

Today is my last day of writing tests.l am writing Chemistry.The hardest of the subjects that l do.Who the fuck decided to introduce this subject.

I stroll casually through the hallways looking for the classroom we were told we were going to write in.

We had another seven minutes till we start writing.l finally make it into the classroom.

I take out my chemistry notebook and started going through it.Yeah l know last minute revision.l spent the whole of last night trying to revise but then l fell asleep at like Eight or something because l couldn't understand a thing.

"Okay girls and boys put away your notes and textbooks its time for the test".The teacher says as she enters the room.

She starts handing out the test papers.Then we start writing.

"And the time is up you can hand in your papers".We hand in our papers and make our way to the cafteria.Those were the crucial two hours thirty of my life.

I make my way to the line to get food and then went to sit at a table by the window which had a nice view.

I look up from my plate and look outside and see Ethan and Natalie.They had apologised to Val.They had told us that their parents had arranged their marriage since they were fifteen and they had hated each other back then up until l came and they started talking with each other again.

And that it wasn't their intention to hurt Val in the process.She was just unlucky and got caught up in their game of Love and hate.

Yes it did take Val a while to forgive them but she eventually did.

I looked at the time on my phone and ot was already 11:30 and l had to submit my art project by 11:30.

I took my painting and made a run to the art room.When l arrived the teacher was already packing her staff ready to leave.

"I'm really sorry l'm late to submit mam.lts just that l was writing a chemistry test and l have just finished please take it".l handing her the painting.

"I know you are lying Athelia but l will take it since you only got late by two minutes".She says then goes back to packing her stuff.

I make my way to the apartment to pack my clothes.l wonder where l was going to stay for the holidays.l hardly had enough money to pay for rent or buy me food.

I was still in deep thoughts when l bumped into something more like someone.

"Oh its just you".l say looking up at Kane.lts been weeks since we last spoke and he looked different.

"Yes my baby sister its just me".He smiles then ruffles my hair.

"Not the hair bro".l tell him whilst taking a step back from him.

"See Athelia l wanted to tell you that you are coming home with me".He says with a big toothy smile.

"But l can't its just too soon for me".l say.

"No no no no;no excuses you're coming with me l have been looking for you my whole life and you wanna leave me now too.No not happening,just go pack our driver is coming in thirty minutes to take us".He says then leaves me standing there.

I quickly make my way up to the apartment to pack.Val had left for home yesterday.

While l was packing.l see Rune's black t shirt.The last time l spoke to him was weeks ago the night of the club.The last time l had of him he was dating Samantha.I had no right to be jealous or angry because me and him were just friends.

I stuff the shirt in my suitcase.Just in time for Kane's call.

"Hey we are waiting for you outside". I close my suitcase and go outside to the car.

I enter the car.Then we take off to my new home.

Me and Kane were making small talks throught the journey.We arrive into the city.As we drive through the neighbourhood the houses were getting bigger and bigger.

We finally stop at the biggest house at the far end with big black gates and golden cursive writing.

There were guards outside the gate.The gates open and we enter.We get out of the car and l try going to get my suitcase but Kane looks at the driver and says something to him.

The driver comes to me and says."No its okay mam l will carry the bag for you just make your way inside".The oldman says.

Before l can reply.l am being pulled by  Kane."Listen Athelia you see everyone who works here is not your friend.So try by all means to not speak with them.They are just here for work".Now that l look around outside.l see that there are guards everywhere.

When we arrive inside the house.l was left breathless.The house was really beautiful.l am met with Kane's mother.l wouldn't say my mom cause she isn't our real mother.

"Hey honey its so nice to have you here again my child".She says hugging me.So l just hug her back.

"Come let me show you to your room".l quietly follow her to wherever she was taking me in this huge house.Now that l notice Kane had already disappeared.

Today Kane's mother had her hair in a tight bun.With very bold make up and she was wearing a long red dress, with a vent.

We pass by many rooms until we stop at the room at the far end."Here we are l tried decorating it l didn't know what you liked exactly".She says looking nervous.

I walk in to the room and oh boy was it spacious.The walls were white.The bed had grey and pink bedsheets and it is a kingsized bed.Opposite the bed there was a couch that was facing a huge flatscreen television.There was a huge circle window and a couch near it.l go to the window to look outside and it showed the view of the garden.

The view was so beautiful.l go from the window and"Thank you so much the room is splendid".She smiles

"Okay Athelia settle down then come for  dinner okay".She exits my room.

I can't believe l'm staying here.
