"Hi l'm Rune's first love or should l say girlfriend".She smiles warmly and looks at him and he smile back.
"Ohh".

I was shocked honestly.His first love,girlfriend since when.l didn't know about any of this.l quietly nod and look at him,but he avoids eye contact at all costs.Our friends were now quiet,silently observing the three of us.lt was really akward.

"Since we are all here today lets play a game".Ethan says.Everyone groans.
"Come on guys where's the spirit".Ethan says again.

"No Eth these games are so boring.l can't even count how many times l have played spin the bottle or truth dare.lets fo something else maybe like Karaoke".Natalie states.

There is a small chorus of "yeahs,yh,mhh,okay,sure".

"Then its decided everyone lets go to the cinema".Kane says.l didn't know we had a cinema in the house.l look around for Hennessy to find her already glued to Seb's side.l guess l will talk to her later.

Valerie who was walking beside me grabs my hand and sprints practically dragging me along to the cinema.We were the first ones at the cinema.

Valerie takes out her phone and connects it to the screen."This time around we will be singing songs from my phone.The last time l was here l almost died of boredom because of Ethan's choice of songs".The others all start laughing except for me and Hennessy.

We both look at each other and shrug.Hennessy looks at Seb and says"Guys can you like tell us what happened".

"I don't which country the songs belonged to but they were saying weird things.We couldn't even understand what they were saying to begin with and this lasted for THREE whole hours l tell you,We tried taking his phone away but he refused,saying how it was his turn and everyone was supposed to sing".Kane says.

"No they don't understand bestie,that playlist was a blast".Ethan says laughing and looking at me.

We all sit in the chairs that were there.lt was like a real cinema.l sit at the chairs that were higher and a bit faraway from the others.l look to were the others were sitting.Natalie and Ethan were sitted at the front.Ethan seemed to be enjoying this whole thing.

Sebastian and Hennessy were sitting at the second row and Seb was braiding Hen's hair.
I look to my left and see Rune and Abby sitting at a place that was slightly darker than the rest.

The only light that luminated the room was from the tv screen.
Rune looked lighter,happier even and l could see his bright smile all the way here.He was laughing at whatever Abby was saying.The way he was looking at her,was supposed to be the way he was looking at me.

I wanted to brush off the strands of hair that had fallen on his forehead.But obviously l couldn't he now had a girlfriend.The words seemed to taste bitter on my tongoue.
Abby raises her hand and brushes the strands of hair from his forehead.

They smile at each other.l don't know if my eyes were deceiving me or not but l could see love in their eyes.'Internal groan and mental sigh'.

I guess we were never meant to be.Or l don't know maybe l was the one who got mixed signals.We were just friends right.

I guess the both of us were standing infront of a mirror and l could see him and he couldn't see me.

I sigh and take the popcorn next to me and eat.Whilst listening to Val and Kane screaming their lungs out to SEASONS by Khalid and 6lack.

Honestly l was bored and the song wasn't doing me any justice.So l sleep.

"Hey Athelia wake its time for bed".Someone says shaking me.
I open my eyes slowly and see that its Kane.

"Hey".l croak out.l guess l was really tired from the plane ride.l stand up and stretch."Have the others left".l ask  Kane.

"Yes they went back to their homes about Twenty minuyes ago".He says.
"Oh okay where's Hennessy".l ask him.

"She went to bed".He says.We both exit the cinema after switching off the television and lights.

We are now walking through a corridor when he says."Athelia listen l know you must be hurt seeing Rune with Abby,l just__".

"Who says l am hurt.l am not hurt,the both of us were just friends".l say rubbing my eyes.

"Its just that___ ,okay listen.l thought that Rune had forgetten Abby,She really hurt him back then;but l don't know what he is thinking".Kane says sighing.

"No don't worry about me big brother l'm good,So tell me whats going on between you and Val.l thought that you weren't supposed to date your friend's ex".l tell him.

"Nahh we are justing seeing were all of this will take us,but l do like her.I told Ethan last week and he said he was okay with it.Now that he had Natalie".He says as we stop by my room.

"Okay if you say so,anyways l ship it.Goodnight Kane".l say to him.

"Goodnight little sis".He says and ruffles my hair.

I just sigh and enter my room.l think l need a shower.l go to my bathroom and open the water in the bathtub.Both hot and cold.l then add bath salts and my  vanilla scented foam bath.

I take off all my clothes and enter the tub.As soon as l enter the bath tub.l am really relaxed  now.The water is just the right temperature.

I sit in the bath tub for an hour.After that l leave the tub and wear my bathrobe and slippers.l go into my walk in closet and put on baggy shorts and a baggy t shirt.Then put my hair in a messy bun then enter my fresh bed covers.

It was like l am stepping into clouds.l quickly relax.Then take my phone and scroll through insta for a while until it tires me out.

I didn't think that my holiday will start on this way.l'm just really sad but l will be fine.l should be happy that l'm spending christmas with my family this year,but first l should find our parents.This is so tiring.l don't know when l fell asleep really because l couldn'.l had a lot hoing on in my head.
